Looks like my deal was too good to be true :(:o:p

Just had a message from the seller stating he is refunding me due to paypal putting a 21 hold on his funds and if I want to continue, to pay via direct bank payment - yeah right!
 
Well I've had it for a couple of days now and I'm loving it. When I'm sitting in front of the telly I normally find that I pick up my laptop from time to time but I've just not done so since I got this. If I want to do anything then the iPad is doing exactly what I want.

Took it to work today and it really has the "wow" factor.

The on screen keyboard is great, I can touch type on it better than i could on my Dell mini-9 easily. Yes, it's just an iPod Touch with a big screen but the screen makes all the difference. If I carry on like this then it will turn out to be a replacement for the laptop which may get sold.

I didn't expect to enthuse about it like this but it really is superb.

I totally agree Feek. I sold my laptop at the weekend. It has now replaced it.

This thing is gonna be huuuge :)

Oh well Im now using a 32gb iPad I picked up from a local seller :D nearer 600 quid but it's so so awesome!!
 
Right this is ****ing me off. In the Music, Box Office, TV & Books forum we're not allowed to discuss TV programs that have not been shown in the UK yet, ie ones we may have downloaded, as it could spoil it for those waiting for the UK release. This is exactly the same thing. You lot who have one are making me so damn jealous. Stop talking about it :D
 
Don't feel too bad, I was one of the very first pre-orders for the Ipad 3G and I live here in the US. I *still* haven't even had mine shipped yet, even my parents have an Ipad back in the UK and I'm still without haha.
 
Posting from bed!

There's only one thing I feel is missing and that's the old chestnut which is multi tasking and that's coming. I miss things like 1password and text expander. I do have 1password pro and it's possible i've not set it all up to integrate with safari properly so I'm having to search for logins.

But it's coming and I hope those two apps will support it well.
 
To what extent will a US iPad (going to California next month) integrate with my current UK iphone itunes account? Does it 'know' it is a US iPad?
