It's possible. You'd need to use Handbrake to do a batch encode of every video you want to sync, then drop those new files in iTunes.

I have 6TB of movies and TV Shows




1 - Yeah. My Mac Mini can transcode 1080p but the CPU usage is pretty much maxed.
2 - It takes 30 seconds on buffering before the video plays.
3 - You can specify the screen size (iPhone is 320 x 480), not tested it on iPad but I've heard good things.
4 - I've not tried this personally.
5 - I'll make another thread if we get 3 or more people. I can't imagine duty is much on $50 x 3.

Is that 25 bucks a pop? If so then thats getting a bit steep and tbh, would prefer to probably buy a keyboard dock for that price!

Any of you that already own one have a screen protector on it? Just wondering if I should buy one now in anticipation. Shall also have to trawl through the jungle, and other places, and see about a case that isn't at a rip off price (yes I get the irony of me complaining that £30 for the official iPad case is a rip off when I've spent £499 on a giant iPod Touch )

I've asked for him to get a 64GB 3G, or a 64GB Wi-Fi if the 3G is sold out.

I'm happy to wait if he comes back unsuccessful, but it's worth a punt for the saving.

Just been texted as the people we've got in the states have been using various iTunes accounts to get reservations at different Apple stores.... they've got first dibs on a 64GB 3G for me today .

Whats the battery life? I read 10 hours browsing, is that about right.

Tempted but then there's the 32/64 .....

Battery life really is very impressive indeed. Took it off charge at 9am and played a film and did browsing on and off all day and at 11pm battery was on just under 50%.

Really is a revelation how amazing it is, destroys my 2yr old iPhone which is feeling tired.

Cant decide, definatelly gonna get one, but WHICH one.
I know im getting a 3g. But cant decide between the models.
As i currently cant see myself sitting down on a train/plane/ect; watching lots of films, nor walking around using it as a music player either. So suddenly the 16Gb looks attactive, but considering its £500 for the 16Gb, and 'only' £70 more for the 32Gb, then the 32Gb makes sence, but then again it comes back to what sort of storage i'd use...
Decisions, decisions....thoughts?

That was EXACTLY my dilemna.

I wanted to buy the dock keyboard but thought, to hell with it, just start the iPad 32G + 3G for now and concentrate on peripherals later.
