A youtube video can be like 30mb, 10 of those you'll use up 50%+ of your allowance.
I have only had crappy experience with my phone and 3g. Can't even stream a vid on my nokia phone with it. Takes 10 minutes to load a minute hehe.
It only works over WiFi.

Ok these are the things we need to know , 30MB of a 500MB allowance ?
Does streaming really still use the same allowance as downloading ?

All data coming over a 3G connection counts towards your allowance, why wouldn't it be?
I hvent looked too much into it tbh, didnt know if it was a 500mb download limit or transfer limit or what
Just ordered a 32gb wi-fi only model. Really wasn't in the market for one of these until I realised that stuff like the YouTube app etc has been specifically designed for the iPad and therefore feels much more like the full version. I thought it was just a big iPod touch. It's basically a perfect gadget for video watching on the move. I can see some killer apps coming out for this over the next few months and years too.

Pre-order now you won't get one for at least 2 weeks i expect. Walking in to chance it might be more chance to getting one...depending which town you are in.
and yes, i am wondering the same thing too, and i am chancing it by walking in...at lunch time no less lol
I'd be going to the Medowhall (Sheffield) store. I just don't want to turn up at 9AM and be queing for ages then they don't have the model I want in the end anyway.
I think I could wait another week knowing that I've got my pre-order sorted and not have to worry about being disapointed on the 28th.
I think I'll end up pre-ordering tomorrow and stay the **** out of this thread until it turns up haha

Thing with me is that i am never home to sign for things, so pre-ordering is a no no, unless i get it deliver to work. I could i suppose but i'll see what it's like next Friday first and see.
Yeah that's a problem if you're out all the time I guess. There's someone in at mine 99% of the time so it's not an issue here.
Another reason I'm leaning towards pre-ordering is 'cos I want a dock and possibly the case too. I could order it all in one go and have it come together, but it's opening another window of disappointment if they don't have some of the items in stock at the shop.

Aye fair play and good luck mate. It's my birthday on the 12th of June so as long as I have it for then I'm happy.
I envisage myself on the couch with a beer watching England vs. USA and placing a few bets on my iPad

The wifi fault is extremely annoying. Come on Apple this is dreadful. Can't do anything on the Internet anymore making the device unusuable.
