I've read of it, but haven't experienced it myself. :p

What's actually wrong with it?

My home network uses DHCP (but I've fixed IPs of all our family stuff, so whilst the iPad uses DHCP to get its IP it will always be given the same IP) and we've got three 2.4GHz access points (one Linksys and two Netgear) and two 5GHz access points (one Linksys and one Netgear) and it's working perfectly. All the 2.4GHz access points have the same SSID and encryption as each other (but are on different channels) and all the 5GHz access points have the same SSID and encryption as each other (but are on different channels to each other and have a different SSID to the 2.4GHz ones).

A week today gents, a week today :D

I'm off work till after bank holiday Monday now and this week is going to drag waiting for the iPad. Good.
 
Just ordered the 32GB Wifi. I can live with the weeks wait or so... I hope :p

I looked on the iPad page for the USA store earlier and noticed they were shipping in 1-2 weeks, so if the demand is anywhere near the same over here I'd rather have my pre-order in than risk the shop.

£499 down, but excited now :D
 
not sure whether to go to my local apple store next friday and pick up the case for use till i get the dodo case.. what do you guys think?

the case seems pretty essential if youre taking it out anywhere
 
If you've got a Dodo case coming just buy a £5 slip case for it until you get that. No point forking out 30 quid for an Apple case for a couple of weeks.

I tried to queue for the iPhone 3G launch (before work), and they ran out of 16GBs when the guy infront of me walked in.

I am not that bothered not having it on the first day.

What i want it for is not urgent, i have a netbook to use on the move already.
