I have to give credit to Apple on how well they keep secrets, but I suppose that's what creates the buzz around a product release if people think there are only limited quantities available and a single shop initially selling.
 
So whats the 3G performance like guys, perhaps try it out over the weekend in the park or something, any difference compared with the iPhone per say....

I so want one of these but I can't really justify it.
I know I'm gonna get shot down in flames... But other than a bigger screen I am really struggling to see the main difference between this and an iPhone!

For example... I'm posting this from my iPhone now.. Same as u guys from an iPad.. And while on the can... Same as u guys!

I think I'll hang on and see what comes of it.. There is no doubt that this device has a role to play in the future of mobile technology.. Thing is I think it may be too soon to tell exactly what that role may be.

I'm stoked for the guys on here that have got theirs and I'm looking forward to some indepth reviews :)
 
After using the iPad for 20 mins yesterday I picked up my phone to txt some people that I'd got it and tell them how awesome it was. It felt like my phone had been shrunk and was ridiculously small . My phone has now gone back to being a phone and no longer my settee lounging device of choice.
 
i cant believe people qued to get an ipad when at 10.30 i just walked in and picked one off the shelf.

Shame im at work so i cant use it because it needs to connect to itunes :(

Got 2 O2 sims at home which will get a £10 on them and then convert them to micro-sim.
Anyone done it? Easy to do?

Whats the internet limit on the O2 PAYG £10?

500MB apparently :(

Couldn't be bothered with faffing in the end, just used the o2 micro sim that came with it... would have used the 3 one but it didn't come in time...

3 really should have made a massive effort to get all their micro sims out by the 27th, think they'll lose a lot of business by sticking to the standard 7-14 days rubbish...

Just got my iPad in the Apple Store in Glasgow today. Queue of about 100-150 people, and there's still absolutely tonnes left. Have no fear anyone who wants one. :)
 
Dont need any names, but does anyone know if any of the non-apple store stockists have any cases for sale or just the ipads themselves?

id didn't order one initially, but it feels a bit delicate to be honest and I want one now and haven't got time to go to brum before I go away for the weekend...

any ideas?

They got cases but not the official apple case (atleast not in York)
