I just watched the news and the Oxford St store was insanely, very American, queued and the really funny bit was the British staff didn't seem to be going as full out mad as the American staff were at their launch. Too much British reserveI think :D
 
Meh no iPhoneOS 4.0 for j00lot.. iPad gets 4.0 in the fall supposedly. Meanwhile *strokes his iPhone running 4.0*..

Actually it wouldn't surprise me if mates, who have been very anti-pad, end up with iPad.. the other mate will get one just to keep up with the jones..

Actually, Skully, the blonde or the brunette? we have 2 receptionists. To be fair, they are both really nice though, people, looks and as well as personality. But i think you mean the brunette :)

They had an absolute shed load in stock this morning on launch, but I don't know how many are left. I'd say you'd get one. If not, try a few other shops, where I bought mine had 200 in stock, and because no one knew they were selling them, they had only sold a few
 
Just been in the apple store in Bristol and stock there apparently is fine as well. There was however one guy who queued from midnight to be the first. Got me an apple case for my iPad while I was there and I am pleasantly surprised. Was going to hold out for a Dodocase or something nicer but am taking it travelling on Sunday and wanted something to keep it shiny!

Cant decide what to do about a case, the Dodo looks cool but really cant wait that long as im going away in a few weeks.

Is the apple case as bad as people are saying it is?

In a similar situation - was going to pick one up from the store I got my ipad from this morning but the quality was pretty terrible. Might see if I can get one of the apple ones, they don't look too bad.

The dodo is perfect, but near on £60.
 
Ive bunged the SIM card into my iPad but for some reason I get a "not connected to internet" type message.

Do I need to do something? Like calling Orange up and registering the sim or something? (its a PAYG sim btw).

Was out and about so decided to call in to see the purple shirts in Wakefield.

Literally no one there but me, in and out with an iPad in 5 minutes. They were trying to sell my screen protectors etc though for about 3 of those!

Cancelled my June 7th pre-order, looking forward to playing with it :D

You're right!

It was the brunette.

I did bump into a blond on the third floor, she confused me when the doors opened so I got out, realising I wanted the floor above.

She asked if I had an interview, think she was disappointed when I said no!
 
One demands Moar pictures.. I think a group of you should get together, place your iPads in the shape of stonehenge..

Anyone had issues with WiFi etc as the initial owners in the states had issues with?

Connect to iTunes to activate the SIM.
