Well the skin that's used in that screenshot is a windowsblinds skin so that won't work unless you install windowblinds (which you have to pay for if you want all the transparency and stuff). It's possible to get a similar skin (minus the transparency) in .msstyle format that will work with the patch that you downloaded.

Could you let me know where the guide fell short in helping you so I can re-write it a bit? It's not really as concise as I would've liked so I'm planning a little re-write anyway. :) I might even include a simple samurize tutorial too now that my PC is back up and running.

I dont think its the guide to blame mate I just think its me becasue I dont have a clue, I read through the guide and then started downloading all these skins and I couldnt get them to load on my PC, where is the best place to download msstyle skins

How did you get that BBC news thing up what software do you use is this done with samurize
 
Ive started to use Samurize again after what seems to be an age. Last easter i think. I was rubbish at it then and suprisingly still am. I cant seem to get it to stay on the desktop, it stays for about 10-15 secs that goes off and only comes back when another song comes on or i reload the config. Any ideas?

Have you got the "Position" set up correctly?

Right click Sammy icon then position, fyi mine is

Pin To Desktop
Locked Position
Use Designed Position

yep mines the same as that!!!

Will it be anything to do with me using dual monitors?
 
Yeah I had some problems with dual monitors, but it seems to be ok these days. When you edit the config can you see the desktop outline? where is it positioned?
