Anyone got Guitar Pro? Any thoughts if so?
A mate was talking to me about it today and quite tempted as a Christmas pressie to myself
Download a programme called Tux Guitar. It opens guitar pro files. And it's free

Line 6 POD pro, yea or nay?
Seriously, I'm looking at this for some studio work and does anyone have any experience with it? Seems pretty good and if the smaller PODs are anything to go by it should be handy.
Once you've bought Guitar Pro, do you have to buy tabs? Or do you get them for free from Ultimate Guitar?
Also, can you pretty much get any song you want? Or is it quite limited?

The only Guitar Pro file I haven't found is Be Bop Deluxe - Maid In Heaven.
I've found a few tabs but I don't know how to convert into Guitar Pro.
I've done a little bit at a time but not good enough.
I'll keep repeating this.
Guitar Pro is the greatest teaching aid ever for guitar, bass and keyboards besides having a person in front of you.
My nephew has even used it for the drum score.

Thanks dude, I'll definitely check it out in that case![]()

This has inspired me to learn guitar. I think I will get a Pacifica 112 or 012, and then one of those Line 6 mini pods so I can play through the PC or through headphones. Anyone else used a pod before?
Is this the right tab for a major scale? Would this be a good one to learn first?

seems like the minor pentatonic scales are best to start with,
Realised they are the wrong ones, seems like the minor pentatonic scales are best to start with, so been testing them. I feel it's a valuable thing to do as 'practice', alongside the more fun stuff learning songs that I like.
I've been playing the intro and main riff of Enter Sandman, and I know it's way too advanced for me, but I have an AWESOME preset for Pink Floyd, so I'm learning the solo to Time at the moment. Got the first little bit down already though, it sounds awesome. If I learn it all my girlfriend will want to ride me as soon as I play it. She loves Pink Floyd.
Really having a lot of fun now, feel like NOW is the time to take my basic understanding and actually get better and learn some songs![]()
Getting those bends in tune on demand takes practice but it is a great solo to play. Huge tone!
