The AMD Driver Thread

awwwwee, I liked factory reset. I've never had issues with it. Most people by now should know to keep a lease on their windows update anyway. It's of course the right thing to solve the issue as it shouldn't happen but windows updates and update service has been a pain for many years now with immense amount of inconsistency to it.

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.4.1 Driver Version 22.40.43.07 for Windows® 10 and Windows® 11 (Windows Driver Store Version 31.0.14043.7000).

.

This driver consistently crashes to a black screen reboot on install of the driver for me. Then two BSODs blaming amdkmdag.sys before Windows has to do a rollback repair.

Am I being really daft or is the in game overlay no longer a thing in the latest Drivers?

Switched in a 7900XT yesterday and I can't find it in the obvious places (after Googling etc). Last time I used the AMD drivers properly (outside of being there on my Legion for the 5800H) was with a 6800 and I recall there was a simple toggle in the top right.

Seems to now be in Settings (cog in the top bar) and then Preferences - first option in the General part of the list. Not where I remember it being either.

I can still access the settings for it from Performance -> Metrics and switch it on and off using ctrl+shift+O

Nice to see that they sorted out the weird water effects ok RDR2. Ive only just noticed it and it does look ****.

I still have some issues with the water splash texture being a square box. Don't know if its the driver or the game but it wasn't like that back when I bought the game at release.

Thanks both :)

I now have it enabled. I think turning it on in preferences made the extra tab appear within the performance > Metrics area. I guess I had this either on before or it was on by default and now isn't.

I just received my new pre-built system from ocuk last week. I only have display drivers auto installed by windows but they're broken. I don't plan on using adrenalin but I've got the 22.11.2 software from amd ready to go.

I'm planning on choosing to install with just the display only without amd basic/full software.

Would I still have to remove anything old before going ahead?
