The AMD Driver Thread

Will need to try this myself, lost a lot of faith in HUB and TPU send to think it's really good. Not really bothered about it but I did use FSR 3 framegen in stalker 2 on my 7900GRE and it was very good so can't imagine this is worse.

TPU and others haven’t even mentioned frame pacing so probably aren’t even looking for it. Their whole review centres on image quality.

HUB pointed a 960fps camera at the screen and have hard evidence that the frame pacing is mostly broken.

Seems to be delivering frames as and when they’re ready and generated frames take a fraction of the time to make so you get a very short gap between a rendered frame and a generated frame and then a long gap before the next rendered frame.

In contrast, DLSS framegen has pretty bang on frame pacing.

Fabio at ancient gameplays says just you need to enable Vsync then Framegen will work properly

Lets hope they fix that then in upcoming releases.

Apparently FSR3 framegen had the same issue, which doesn't make me particularly hopeful.
Odd never noticed it on Stalker 2, I never use Vsync but do limit framerate to 144 or 120 depending using FRTC. Pretty sensitive to it as well. I remember bloodborne on PS4 and the frame pacing hurt me :-)

Can't say I've noticed any issues with fsr3 with frame gen. I use it in BL4, which is pretty fast paced. I've also used it in slower games, like silent hill 2 and dead space remake.

Did they remove the CPU temp from the tracking overlay? the option for monitoring that is no longer showing up under the overlay options.
