The AMD Driver Thread

Windows 10 updated mine this morning even though I had don't update hardware through windows update, I uninstalled it and reinstalled the driver from AMD again.

I've been using these for a few days, unofficial leak, 15.201.1102.0

http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=401834

Weird, looking at my versions, they are identical aside from the driver packaging version, and I'm not entirely sure what that has to do with anything. I'm happy to keep using these until there's a new final version released. Thanks for the help guys!

So, windows 10 jsut decided to update my graphics drivers again, when I thought I was past that phase of it now. Please could someone confirm these versions reported by CCC are the latest?

Driver Packaging Version 15.20.1062.1004-150803a-184226E
Provider Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
2D Driver Version 8.01.01.1500
2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/Class/{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}/0000
Direct3D Version 9.14.10.01128
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.13399
Mantle Driver Version 9.1.10.0077
Mantle API Version 98308
AMD Catalyst Control Center Version 2015.0803.1559.26924
AMD Audio Driver Version 10.0.0.01

Or just post a screenshot of your Software tab so I can double check. Would rather not go through the hassle of updating the drivers again if windows did for some reason update my drivers to the same version I was already running!

Same, i had jumped through every hoop to stop windows 10 from updating hardware but nope, still does it.

In case you didn't know here's how stop windows 10 from autoupdating any hardware drivers...

http://windowsinstructed.com/disable-automatic-device-driver-download-in-windows-10/

Got an issue with these automatic updated drivers (15.20.1062.1004). They just refuse to detect freesync. I have the BenQXL2730Z and a R9 290. As soon as I roll back to 15.7.1 freesync is detected fine. Anyone else had this?

Everythings running smooth for my 15.7.1 & Win 10 set up, At the moment I'm about 6 hours in to the "Zombi-U" remake, The imaginatively named "Zombi" and it runs brilliantly on AMD. Excessive levels of fps and zero bugs so far, For a 16 quid title it's well worth trying out if it's the sort of game that interests you.

sigh. I have auto driver install disabled too but I just did windows update now and the AMD driver was in that so I did a system restart before it could install. Why is it downloading video card drivers when I disabled that. Its annoying as hell lol. I never install any drivers unless I do it manually and can use driver uninstaller utility first in safe mode to make sure every trace is wiped.
Stupid windows 10.

... and yes... what the hell? I saw that earlier as well, it installing AMD drivers again when I have it disabled grr. (I verified I had it disabled, and like most others, indeed I did).

It is odd that it's only some of us, I'm having no problems with Win 10 pro, It did an update a day or so ago but it hasn't touched my drivers. I've noticed two updates from Windows since installing neither touched them.

Mine did an auto update yesterday via windows, confused me when it happened as it kicked me out of a game. since the update or hotfix whatever, my crossfire has been incredible. My cards no later throttle, and my frametime for my games is incredible, just stays at 8.3ms most of the time. And on freesync it's such an incredibly smooth experience. Loving it.

I take it freesync was detected then? The update won't detect mine at all, same monitor as you.

Has anyone tried Far Cry 4 with Crossfire lately?

I hadn't played it in ages, so I don't know if it is a game patch or OS or driver problem, but tried to play co-op with someone today and the game is a flickering mess with messed up textures. It used to work fine a few months ago.

All other games play fine with no artifacts. The problem goes away with crossfire disabled for the game, but it obviously runs a lot slower (I must change these HD7850s sometime).

Game version: 1.10.0, OS: Windows 10, Driver: 15.7.1 (15.20.1062.1004), GPUs: 2x HD7850 2GB

@AMDMatt/Joe

Any idea when there's a new driver for Linux due and if they have/are continuing their improvments of late ? :D

They have both gone very quiet.

I asked like 3 times now if they are planning on working on Ark: Survival Evolved drivers, absolutely no reply. Meanwhile NVIDIA are actively optimizing their drivers for this game.

Same here.....was fine until I updated to windows 10 and the latest amd drivers now its unplayable due to colour glitches etc.
Hoping it will be a quick fix I was loving the game!

Nvidia Sponsored game MGS5

If we can go by Ground Zero for Performance of Phantom Pain then I can say This games PC optimization is simply superb.

At 1440p I changed three settings to get locked 60fps Shadows, Screen Filtering, SSAO. Everything else was on highest.

At 1080p 60fps locked on full highest setting.

And this on a i7 3770k @4.2 and a single 290 @1030

I was completely shocked how well this runs.
Here a test video, I didn't expect intro to be so long, so I just run and gun after it.
