The AMD Driver Thread

Anyone with the BenQ XL2730Z connected by DP have this odd issue ?:-

When switching on, or rebooting, i get the Asus splash screen as usual, Press F1 - DEL to enter Setup, i then get the Starting Windows screen with the balls as normal, but when that goes off, and im supposed to get the Welcome Screen, i don't, the screen just stays black, so my Desktop loads under a black screen (monitor is still on, as doesn't go into Standby), so i have to switch it off/on, to get it to kick in, and display.

Didn't happen under the 15.7s.

Nope mine boots fine..
 
have you windows 8.1 or windows 10?

It happens to me occasionally. The reason on mine was that it sometimes defaulted to a monitor that was no longer connected. So it thinks the primary screen is a monitor that isn't there. It never happens if I have two monitors connected.

Im on Win7 still, happens every reboot, switch off/on for me, its weird how it never goes into standby though. :p

This. If you've installed new drivers it's likely reverted to whatever the primary port is i.e. not the one the monitor is connected to. Happens to me all the time.

Wish that there was a BIOS option to change the primary port to whatever permanently rather than having to go through this nonsense everytime.
 
So, windows 10 jsut decided to update my graphics drivers again, when I thought I was past that phase of it now. Please could someone confirm these versions reported by CCC are the latest?

Yea that's the 15.7.1 and the ones you need. There is a slightly more updated version but nobody seems to know what they do and they are stil based on 15.7.1.
