The AMD Driver Thread

Think it's a driver or W10 issue. Games will not stretch when selected in the CCC options and will remain with the black bars when playing at a lower resolution.

It works if you install the W8.1 beta drivers, but anything above doesn't work!

You could post your issue here and get a response pretty quickly. There's a dedicated team on there to fix this kind of stuff.

AMD Catalyst™ Driver for World of Warships for Windows®

A driver has been released via hotfix to provide support for a new game, World of Warships, on HD5000 – HD8000 series products.

Check the supported products list folks as most of you won't need this driver.

This alpha driver contains day one support for World of Warships for the selected products listed. This driver also resolves a crash some users may experience when using those products with this game.

@AMDMatt

It is time for the truth pill on AMD drivers. Please read my post here:

Thing is, if it was easy they would have done it no? Pretty sure they would be interested in offering better performance when feasible. Also pretty sure they are not enjoying bleeding market share to Nvidia ;)

That said, still no word on Elite Dangerous CF drivers. They just keep on avoiding this topic... :o

Although that might be true, lets not forget that Nvidia managed to do it back in 2010, and more so in early 2014.

Ok fair enough.. Don't get me wrong the game feels great on what ever its running at. Am just not sure if its 144hz though.

On my 120hz monitor I can't get either Fifa 15 or 16 to run higher than 60hz either. For Fifa 14 I used to use a registry fix that allowed me to run it at 120hz, but from Fifa 15 onward it has been impossible to force to 120hz. My monitor OSD always shows 60hz for Fifa 15 and 16 which is how I can tell.

Like you, I have tried forcing it in various programs like radeonpro and had no success.

It's interesting that Nvidia users claim to have more success at running it above 60hz, but hardly anyone at all from the AMD camp has managed to run it higher than 60hz.

Yeah and that I am sure helped with performance and more sales for them. Lets not forget they both different architecture. Perhaps this allowed nvidia to make such driver more easily as a result. Let not forget they probably have bigger staff on drivers front.

Not trying to excuse AMD by the way. The less they deal with stuff like this and please customers, the more they will lose market share. Simples really. Not some conspiracy ;)

Any news as to if the frame rate control feature in CCC will be extended to 144 for 144Hz monitors ?

Just curious as using Rivatuners frame limiting feature isn't compatible with every game out there, Mainly Ubisoft titles and makes them crash on startup.

Am yet to have a game not work with msi afterburner. Would be nice for ccc to support more I have no idea why they picked 95.

I just tryed AC: Unity and with Rivatuners on it crashes straight away, I turn it off and it works straight away :(

Its to keep your GPU cooler, which is the idea of FRTC.

True, But would have been nice to have the option of having 144Hz as I play a few games that can shoot up into the hundreds and limiting them to 144 would be quite nice instead of using 3rd part software :)

You have anything else hooking into that game? Sweetfx for example?
