The AMD Driver Thread

So far so good with these Omega drivers! I've had at least one issue with every driver i've updated to but the omega ones nothing so far! Also i've noticed the small performance boost its quite nice. Also noticed my GPU core temp seems to run 3-4 degrees cooler now when gaming not sure what this is a result of?

Also loving the VSR, its making games look that bit better though i'm not sure how much different say this virtual res is from the real deal?

Good thread Matt. Is there any sign of multiple monitor support for PLP gaming? I know that support was recently added for eyefinity across different resolutions but I don't think it supports tgecsude screens being rotated yet? Thanks.

PC doesn't crash, can leave it stuttering for ages and it carries on fine. Eventually I get too annoyed so will turn off vsync or the music.

I notice it most when I have a second audio source like teamspeak running, but it affects performance even with no other programs running (stuttery performance due to high latency).

Do you have a second monitor? If so, could you try disabling it in CCC to see if you can then run the game with vsync without problems?

Pretty sure the Omega drivers added PLP Eyefinity support, but only for the R9 285. I'm presuming it's a hardware thing why it wasn't included for older cards too.

Thanks again. Sadly the 7970 and R290 in my house don't support it. But it does give me hope that the next gen of AMD cards will continue to provide it and it means my next GPU will probably be AMD again. I was thinking of NV previously.

I will finally be able to make full use of my pair of Dell 20" alongside the 30". 4960x1600. Who needs 4k :D
