The AMD Driver Thread

must be hardware solution.
if amd makes support for PLP with the next gen then thats a big thing.

Yes for me it's a massive thing. I've been an NV user for years apart from a brief couple of forays into AMD recently. But if they offer PLP gaming then it's enough to keep me with them. Please feed that back Matt :D

I find multiple screens far more productive for every day work than a single very wide monitor and with the option to game across all three it's the best of both worlds for me. I can't be the only one preferring this although it is probably still niche.

Bit of a weird one, I updated my 6950 to the Omega drivers, then when I reboot it says 'AMD Catalyst Control center cannot be started, and I can't set my resolution to 1080P.

Any idea? Never had any issues with AMD drivers before.

anyone had black screen issues after installing Omega ?

not sure if just a co-incidence - but not had black screen issues before, but now occasionally I'm getting nothing when bringing monitor out of standby, and sometimes on boot

black screen but signal to monitor

will reduce overclock to see if helps

I was having black screen on boot before the update, but not since.

I am still having problems with lines flashing up on my LG 1440P @60Hz using displayport. Currently running at 50Hz unless someone knows a fix?

I have been experiencing irregular black screens (2-3 a week) since moving to the Omega drivers on my crossfire 7970's. Only happens when in game, not had it whilst just browsing the web yet.

Moved back to the previous drivers and not have a single black screen in the last week. I did report this in the original thread but went unnoticed, I also got a lot of screen tearing whilst just on the desktop/website/videos which I dont get using any non omega driver set.

Tried Omega drivers again today, black screen during first game session. Rolled back to 14.11.2 beta drivers and it resulted in my Windows install now showing as unactivated!!!!!

Thankfully it accepted my legit key and all appears fine again now.

I didn't roll back, I uninstalled omega drivers, restarted. Installed 14.11 message popped up during install that unauthorised changes have been made to Windows. Upon restart my windows was not activated, with a message in the bottom right hand corner of the screen stating test build or something.

I get you now. Test build isn't the activation. This is a setting am sure in your user account and you can fully disable it.

The test mode message indicates that the test signing mode of the operating system is started on the computer. The test signing mode may start if an installed program is in a test phase because it uses drivers that are not digitally signed by Microsoft.

Microsoft added test mode to Windows so that users can test programs without having to provide an authentication certificate.
