@AMDMatt,

thanks for posting the updated drivers, in game works great.

I am now getting random black screens (not in game), bottom half of the screen will sometimes have colored lines.
Old drivers were express uninstalled and than used display driver uninstaller in safe mode before reinstalling newer drivers.

Any ideas?

Just wanted to post this here for someone to see and maybe correct me. Do AMD have plans to actually support HFR monitors for thier tech? Below i will list two things that are unfinnshed/broken.

VSR has no support for higher frame rates or 4K unlike Nvidia where i run 4k@120
VSR also has no support for 21:9 resolutions unlike Nvidia
Frame rate control has a upper limit of 90 useless for anyone on 120/144 monitors

Is this still the case currently? And do they ever plan to take the features seriously? I mean frame rate does not even work on DX9 either!

I'm unsure what you mean bu 4k and a limit on fps, As far as I know there is no limit. I run vsr with 1440p and it's unlimited, I can run 4k but not at those sorts of frames to test. Where did you get the info about vsr being limited? I'd like to read it please. Actually let me go try an old game quickly.

Okay, I just tried Half life 2 update at 4k via vsr and it runs in the high 200's to mid 300's so there's no limit that I can see.

They have got a 95 fps limit you can put on it manually which is plain dumb, we've spoken about this before. It's a stupid limit for those with 120/144 hz screens. I don't mind it at the moment because my screens got a 75hz limit but yeah if I had a higher level screen I wouldn't be happy, I imagine it will be changed unless there is something causing the limit, Another annoyance is it only works with DX10 and 11 titles when DX9 titles are the ones more likely to hit crazy high's and actually need such a feature. But as I've said elsewhere today AMD haven't been making smart choices lately. Hopefully someone will pull there finger out soon so they can start fixing all these silly little oddities.

1920 X 1080 @ 120Hz will only open up two VSR modes:

1920 X 1200 @ 120Hz
2048 X 1536 @ 120Hz

On Nvidia you can choose right up to 3840x2160 @ 120hz. And yea the 55-90 fps limit for frame limit is downright stupid. What VSR mode exactly do you use then? Also this is what they include on the webpage for FRTC.

Note: Changes to the Frame rate target must be done outside of the game, i.e. exit the game completely, make your changes, and then start the game again. The current implementation of Frame Rate Target Control works with DirectX® 10 and DirectX® 11 titles, and offers targets in the range of 55 to 95 fps.

They only support 60hz and 75hz lol!!

I would really like if we could get Frame Rate Target Control based on Application and not only Global setting.

They is some games I like to lock frame rate down to 60fps I always use MSI Afterburner but I would much rather have less programs.

Run DDU in safe mode and try reinstalling.

Just fresh installed Windows 10 and I'm having issues with my 7970 crashing every 5-10 mins in games (the "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error). Have tried 15.7.1 and 15.9.1 drivers off the AMD website with no luck. Tried reseating GPU and reverting my CPU OC to stock incase that was the cause, but still crashing. Any ideas?
