The AMD Driver Thread

Read the anandtech article for more detailed information.

Shader Cache will reduce level loading times and provide smoother gameplay the second time and beyond you play a game/level, as the Shaders are compiled and then stored in a Cache on your hard drive and will be used next time you play. The difference is night and day for me in the Frostbite engine, which has never been favourable towards four GPU's, unless you were running under the Mantle API.

Ah, that sounds like a very good feature. Well done AMD. Can't wait for the Crimson drivers. Making me forget about Elite Dangerous :p

In b4 Elite Dangerous! :D

Vaguely how much hard drive space are we talking about?

Installed - but now my screen goes 'black' for a second or 2 every 2/3 minutes:(

What is going on?

(Am running 2 x 290 - not overclocked- on a Dell 34" 3440x1440 curved screen monitor, windows 7 64bit - AND it was good until I installed the new drivers!!!!)

No problem going youtube fullscreen in the latest Firefox here. Have you rebooted since installing? Oh, and I am using the HTML 5 video player.

Yup i have. I am also using the HTML5 player.

Used DDU so it was a clean install. Tried reinstalling again and it's still doing it. :(

What card do you have? Maybe it's just a certain model of card having the issue? Since Begbie is having the problem too.
