Any word on crossfire profiles for all the huge new games this month?
I presume fallout 4 wont have one because its the same engine as Skyrim and that didn't work with crossfire. Theres Battlefront and COD aswell though so I'm hoping there going to work day 1 with crossfire. It always does put a downer when you buy a game you've been looking forward too for along time and crossfire doesn't work. Especially now with 4k monitors and 21:9 monitors. Its very much needed.

Are the makers of COD even aware of what modern PCs can do? I got kind of used to multi-screen not being supported (or even actively sabotaged) until someone in their bedroom brings out a patch, but I did get annoyed shortly after BOps 2 came out that Activision had on their FAQ page to not only disable but REMOVE a second GPU in order to run the game without crashing. I wouldn't expect too much from the developers when it comes to COD and multi-GPU, but I am really hoping I'm wrong this time.

Since the last 2 GTA patches my game crashes, before I never had a crash and after 1 month talking to rockstar they told me to contact AMD :/

My game crashes when I try to join a mission or heist, basically when it tries to load something.

Hello Drangueos,

My name is Alec, a supervisor at Rockstar Support. After reviewing this case, it has been determined that you will need to contact AMD support for further troubleshooting on this issue. Please understand that this is not an issue with the patch as it would be affecting a greater amount of players. Google searches will reveal a few others having the same problem but it is not widespread enough to be an update issue.

Please give AMD Support a call at 1 (877) 284-1566 or go to their support page here.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Best,

Alec H. - Manager

What I already did:
*MB bios update,
*removed any overclock,
*tried with windows 7, 8.1 and 10 (even fresh installations with only windows, gta and drivers)
*tried with 5 different video drives, used amd cleanup utility after removing previous drivers
*changed audio to 16bits and 44khz
*removed all USB devices but keyboard and mouse
*upgraded my GPUs from 7950s to R9 290s
*tried the game with directx 10, 10.1 and 11
*lowered all ingame details
*reinstalled GTA
*checked GTA files
*disabled antivirus
*ran the game as admin
*disabled core 5&6 as support asked me
*create a file called commandline.txt in the game directory and add the line "-availablevidmem 6.0"

If that's the randomly locks up crash, then I'm still getting that after moving to NV...

It's not something that happened prior to the last couple of patches when running 290's (1, 2 or 3 of them).

They say the problem is: atidxx64.dll, that this file is making GTA crash, but in my opinion GTA is making atidxx64.dll crash

My game crashes when I try to join or start a mission or a heist, didn't play single player after the last patches.

Has the crashing For R9 390 been fixed in your drivers yet? I purchased XFX 390 from Amazon little back but had to send it back to them as every DX11 game crashed, it happened quicker if an application in the background was using hardware acceleration, spotify, chrome etc.

Using my old R9 285 and it still does things very well, but when the 390 did work, I loved the boost. However I don't want to be a fool a re-buy the card until it's fixed, so AMDMatt got any info for me? Nvidia cards are so expensive D:

My (MSI) 390 never had a problem. With any games tbh

I can't remember what the problem with the 390/x cards was but I do remember it getting fixed in the drivers.

You know where yer screen goes haywire, multi coloured lines all over the shop while browsing, which a CTRL+ALT+DEL fixes, ive just had it on these 15.9.1s, not had it for ages, was still on my 290X when i got it last :p
I have to log-out to fix it, it’s starting to really **** me off, seems to happen when I have all my work app open and it takes 5 minutes to get back in.

Ditto, not aware of any 390 issues. My MSI is solid in everything I've thrown at it so far.

Was fairly big issue for ages, thread had 1.1k replies:
https://community.amd.com/thread/183430

However it seems fixed as of few weeks ago and 15.10 beta has fixed it. I'll hold out for a little bit, let the next beta drive roll up and see if the fix is still there and remains reliable. I wan't to re-buy R9 390, just need to wait until I'm satisfied with the driver letting me play a game.
