The AMD Driver Thread

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture isn't out yet. :p

And the reason other games had no MGPU support is because the devs didnt bother working them features in. Fallout 4 is different and the devs have worked with AMD and Nvidia to bring this into FO4
Like I said MGPU is a two way party both Driver and game need support. If it was a Driver issue am sure it would have been sorted by now Tony its not like AMD has been quite releasing drivers so this tells me they is more to this than just a driver..

It would be nice if AMDmatt could dig deeper on this afteral it would be nice to hear some form of feedback.

Was out last year wasn't it, couldn't be arsed to google, just sure I remember some stuff about it last year or way back.

Can't the crossfire profiles just be added inbetween driver release, why the need to wait 2 weeks a time for a new driver just to get a profile. I've never understood why that can't be added via a hotfix.

TBH, I can only see multi-gpu getting worse with dx 12 since it will be down to the engine and game developers entirely and lets be honest, will they be any better than AMD/nvidia at getting multi-gpu working nicely given how broken most games are on release even for simple things?

All I can say is top end single GPU is the only way to go now, less issues and faffing about and thankfully AMD drivers for single GPU have been rock solid for me on my 290, iirc, I had a lot of issues when I first got my 290 but never really figured out what the cause was in the end and I think only 1 or 2 issues with games, main one being missing textures in star wars battlefront.

Despite not liking the new crimson look at first, I am much preferring it to the old look now too, just took some getting use to.

Released on ps4 :D been loads rumors of a PC version and AMD pretty much just confirmed it.

The reason is like I said they is more work that goes into it than most people think. AMD work with the dev
Just like FO4 a patch might have included fixes and all that was needed was amd to update its crossfire profile and they did. Reason it might have taken longer is becuase also waiting on the devs to fix it.

Same with Division I bet a patch will come and then followed by driver profile.

they patched it a couple weeks ago to version 1.02 Shanks, drivers have been released since but nothing has been fixed. Will just play the waiting game. Can't wait for next year and 1 big single badass GPU.

So is it worth jumping to these...I'm still on the 15:11 drivers after the first release of crimson crippled my card...I know they fixed that issue after 48 hours but scared me into not updating for a while....

P.S I use MSI AB to control Fan speed....

While i can't promise you will have no issues i have used most of the crimson drivers and afterburner together with no issues. My 290 pcs+ is similar to your 390. I would give the latest drivers a go as there is nothing so far that has been reported as game/pc breaking in them.

Cool will do, is it worth a full uninstall first of old drivers? With the AMD clean software?

looks like a new driver released on the 28-3-16. No Division Crossfire fix im afraid

Resolved Issues:
Counter-Strike™: Global Offensive fails to stretch on non-native display aspect ratios. As part of the new Display Scaling per game feature, users can set “GPU Scaling” to “On” and “Scaling Mode” to “Full Panel” in the Display options tab in Radeon™ Settings as well as setting “Display Scaling” to “Full Panel” in their CSGO gaming profile under the “Gaming, Profile Options” tabs for this to take effect.
AMD Radeon™ Fury Series may experience corruption on desktop when system is idle for an extended period of time.
FFXIV can experience black screen or experience an application hang.
XCOM2™ may experience minor stutter while the camera is panning around a scene.
Radeon™ Settings check for software update may not display the latest available driver.

Known Issues:
A few game titles may fail to launch or crash if the AMD Gaming Evolved overlay is enabled. A temporary workaround is to disable the AMD Gaming Evolved "In Game Overlay"
Need For Speed™ may experience poor scaling or flickering in AMD Crossfire™ mode. As a work around users can disable the profile through the Radeon™ Settings game manager.
The Division™ may experience flickering in AMD Crossfire™ mode.
Power efficiency toggle in Radeon™ Settings is showing up for some unsupported products.
DOTA2™ may experience game menu flickering when entering full screen mode with AMD Crossfire™ enabled.
League of Legends may experience some graphical corruption on characters death animation in AMD Crossfire™ mode.
XCOM2™ users may experience an application crash when using AMD Crossfire™ mode. As a work around please disable AMD Crossfire™ for the games profile in the Radeon™ Settings Gaming tab.
Hitman™ may experience flickering when played in DirectX™ 11 mode. As a work around users are recommended to either set the game to DirectX™ 12 mode in the games settings launcher or simply set “Shadow Resolution” to “Low” in the game settings.

Have just updated to this, but I have the same frustration that I got with the previous crimson release.

In World of Warships I need to have Crossfire disabled. I disable it in the game profile in Radeon Settings but when I boot the game up it is still enabled.

Doing my head in. Is there a solution for this or am I making a blindingly obvious mistake? I am on Win10 with a 7990.

**Ok it is happening in The Division as well, Crossfire won't disable through the app.**

Division is crashing on me about every 20 minutes; might get to 30 minutes on first run and slowly gets worse; its only game that crashes. Hitman dx11 or DX 12; fine; that got fixed; rise of the tomb raider dx 11 or dx 12 again fine.

Huge amount of people are having the same issue so; hopefully a new patch will drop soon as its not really driver related; looks to be memory leak issue

Rolled back to 15.7

Some internet googleage suggests that there is an issue with Crimson and the 7990 with regards to disabling crossfire in the profiles.
