The AMD Driver Thread

its all well and good to put the pressure on driver teams to create a division crossfire profile fix but the problem exists in the first place because ubisoft wrote the game in a ****** manner that seems to have severe trouble utilising dual-graphics, so all the finger-pointing blame is to be shifted towards Ubisoft Massive developer ...... !!!!

No, you are wrong. Devs will never be at fault, it is up to nvidia and AMD to fix the games these days. Especially when those games are standing with the gun to certain users heads and forcing them to play it day and night with xfire/sli enabled at maximum max settings.

Yet Ubisoft key selling points for The Division on PC was up to 4k resolution and designed with mgpu at the forefront.

I am amazed how people don't learn these days :D They get shafted over and over and over again by certain devs and publishers (EA/Dice, I'm looking at you) and they keep buying/pre ordering their games.
How was Ubisoft games before Division release? Where they top notch and bugless and technical masterpieces? I do believe they were right at the bottom in regards to quality. So it is mystery to me why people still buy Ubisoft games and expect high quality product??? Guys, learn to admit when you are being shafted and stop blaming others.
If you can't stop buying bad product, you are worth every bug there is in that product, be it unplayability or technical issues.
The only way devs/publishers realise we are not happy with their product when we speak with our wallets by not buying/pre ordering their products. Simple. Until then enjoy what you pay for ;)

They're supposed to be in bed with AMD now as well, not a good advert is it :D

This comes as a surprise after the mental meltdown Ubi had few years back. I wonder what nvidia have done to Ubisoft in order for them to go with AMD again :D I am sure it wasn't lack of money, as AMD have none.

It's Ubisoft. That's the way they roll, and despite promising to do better every time they put out a buggy mess, it's the same thing over and over. It's all PR talk to fool people the next time around. Shipping a product and getting the customers' money is more important than putting out something that functions properly.

I'm sure someone's already asked this (maybe even me :p ), but what is the best way to update the new Crimson drivers?

Is the sage way still a full uninstall, reboot to safe mode, DDU, reboot, clean install?

Cheers,

Su

No need for all that.. I used to only use DDU after couple months. Most part I would just uninstall, restart and install then restart again.

Now since crimson I just been using the auto update feature inside the driver software been working very well.

I got a message today saying I had new drivers.

Currently installed 15.30131801
New drivers 16.15.2211

I mostly play GTA V, RUST, some Dirt Rally.

Safe to update? Any reason I should/shouldn't?

Yep, I still don't understand this mentality either. It's almost like an addiction - they know it's going to be bad, but they really want to play the game regardless.

Just look at the people buying up Gears & Quantum Break in their respective threads. I took one look in those threads and just forgot any notion of buying those products. Some people have even admitted they know it's broken, but because they've been waiting so long for the game they are willing to live with the issues.

Looks like a no show for a new driver tonight, hopefully will wake up and see it with a fixed crossfire profile for The Division.....for the 7th week.

Looks like they are holding the profiles back until they release the Pro Duo on the 26th judging by this slide.
