The AMD Driver Thread

Nas its an On or Off switch

No, There's no on or off switch so I'm presuming it is a bug and it is what AMDMatt was talking about and they are in the process of fixing it. So now I know that it's not a problem my end I've put the fan to 30% for now.

I've had issues like this before with a feature not showing up (Display Colour option) and a reinstall of the driver fixed it. Worth considering tbh.

AMDMatt said it's a bug which also affects his Pro duo, At least that's what I'm presuming he was talking about so I've put the fan speed to an acceptable level manually while they're working on it. A driver wipe isn't going to fix a bug their end.

For what it's worth i'm on the latest drivers (with an R9 380) and the fan control does show up.

I think it's Fiji specific.

Nashathedog listen a bug is a bug and doesn't mean it will effect everyone lol like a above a simple DDU 5mins max of your time will probably fix it.
Why so against a driver installation?

If it's a problem in the drivers that AMD need to fix why do you think that an uninstall & install of the same drivers will fix it?
I'm still waiting for an answer to whether that's what Matt meant and for now it's fine as I manually set the fan to a sensible speed so I'm in no rush.

Because not all systems are the same :p Like above a guy was missing (Display Colour option) I have also done a driver update in the past and lost the Freesync option lol DDU fixed both these issue!

You do also understand you installing "Beta" drivers right? meaning you agreeing to testing and giving feedback to help make the driver better..

What sort of feedback are you giving right now? Nothing at all apart from being very stubborn.

Where if you was to reinstall fresh least you can then provide feedback.
I had this issue and this fixed it etc!
Just reinstall already lol :p

As I posted many posts back I've already put a ticket in to AMD for it and received the standard automated reply so I've provided feedback on the problem so why don't you do us a favour and stop making presumptions about something you know nothing about, I've said I'm happy to wait for a fix, I'm not interested in farting around doing something I don't need to do just because you seem to think it will help.

What good is your feedback without troubleshooting? kinder pointless don't you think? :p
Anyway if that's what you want to do then fair enough I have explained what I think lets not get heated up over it.

You'll find conversations go a lot smoother if you drop the condescending attitude when talking to others.

Dont know why you even posted this issue in the forum if you already put in a ticket without accepting any help here..

Lets hope AMD find a fix for you.

And a bug can be the driver not installing all of the features the first time and needing a reinstall, like i had to.. just saying.
