The AMD Driver Thread

Dont know why you even posted this issue in the forum if you already put in a ticket without accepting any help here..

Lets hope AMD find a fix for you.

And a bug can be the driver not installing all of the features the first time and needing a reinstall, like i had to.. just saying.

I post on this forum everyday, I wasn't posting and asking for advice, I was simply asking if anyone else was having the issue, I took it from AMDMatt's reply to Loadsa's reply to me that he also had the problem and AMD were aware of it so I was quite happy to wait for a fix, Too many peoples go to response is use a ddu, from what I'd been told I knew it wasn't going to help my problem and as it turns out it didn't.

I just installed these new drivers and sadly I still don't have a switch for auto fans so to check my facts I did a ddu and then installed them again but still no switch meaning I've got to wait on AMD to fix it, which is what I'd been saying all along.

I figured this would probably be the place to ask but i don't know if it's a driver bug or game bug.

In Bf1 using DX12 my Gpu usage and clocks are all over the place creating a lot of stutter. In dx11 the game runs great but i feel with my older system if dx12 were to work properly i would see benefits in fps as dx11 can tax my cpu up to 100%. Is anybody else experiencing this.

DX12 stutters terribly for me. Pre-patch, I was easily getting 60+ fps on 64p multiplayer DX11

Post-patch, fps is around the same, but drops horribly on certain maps, notably Empire's Edge

Figured out my BF1 problem.Disabled Afterburner and origin overlay and now get no stutter in dx12. The positives being i now have around 10-20 more fps on my average which is around 80 fps on most maps. Ultra settings at 1200p with increased FOV at 90. Pretty decent for an old setup like mine.

So i would say it's not a driver issue and more a conflict with these programs running.

Thats why i dont run/like 3rd party programs.

Origin is forced through EA but you can disable the overlay. I like afterburner for the 1-1 fan profile but my temps are good enough without it so not a big loss. Your correct though 3rd party programs like afterburner do seem to cause more problems than they are worth sometimes.

That's a bit of a bugger, I use Afterburner to increase my Fury Tri-X voltages. Without the +25mV increase I get driver crash errors on the desktop.

Works fine with volt increase tho...
