The AMD Driver Thread

Cheers for the advice Nexus, will give it a go tonight. Silly question, what do I loose in performance with modifying the voltages to the GPU then, if any?
Nothing.

The only thing it has an impact on are temperatures and as a result fan speed, the lower, the better.

I should have a new 480 turning up tomorrow. I currently run nvidia so I don't know about AMD drivers.

I went through the driver download selection on the AMD site and ended up at a page listing several packages.

Crimson ReLive Edition 17.3.1 Optional - 393MB
Crimson ReLive Edition 17.2.1 - 513 MB

Do I just install the first one 17.3.1 or do I have to install the 17.2.1 first and then the 17.3.1?

Also are there any bundled parts of the driver package that I am better off not installing or should I just install the whole lot?

thanks

17.3.1 is the latest, but not whql yet, so listed as optional.
17.2.1 is the latest whql.

You can just grab either, you don't have to install in order. Some people don't install the relive part of it (amds shadowplay equivelent), but installing the whole package is fine.

Quick update.

Another great AMD driver. My nano got another 1% boost on benchmarks with these drivers compared to the 17.2.2. Since the start of the year that makes is 3-4% flat out. :)
AMD's certainly on a roll nowadays.

I've been contemplating a move to the Ti when it releases but I can't think of a genuine reason why I should, that's thanks to how AMD have turned things around over the last 18 months.

True. Hence I am trying to get a won a FuryX to pair and I will pair with the Nano until Vega is out. Assuming the FuryX can overclock to 1130/550 also to keep up......

OK I'm using a Acer XR341CK monitor with my FuryX and keep getting the follow link failure errors

Any ideas why?

Funnily enough a few days ago I got chucked out of a game with a message saying my monitor did not support the requested resolution,
That's with the same monitor and a Fury pro, I simply restarted the game and it hasn't happened again so I thought nothing of it, Coincidence?

The only other issue which is more of an annoyance than anything is under the video tab I have fluid motion on which makes it a custom profile,
However whenever I install new drivers Radeon settings reverts to the default profile, It only reverts my video profile,
The gaming, Relive and display profiles remain untouched.

Wow that's a result, I'd love to win a graphics card, preferably a Vega :D
I won a copy of Dead space 3 on a Youtube channel once.
poor wording from my part. I won the auction to buy the FuryX, at 300, even if there was a lot of last moment sniping going on :)

trying to get one on that price 4 months now. And now I am not buying the 1080ti. Two furyX will serve me well until vega is out.

All drivers since 16.12.1 have broke The Evil Within and Dead Space for me - major stuttering and frame drops, completely unplayable. Anyone else tried these games with a Fury X and the new drivers?
Just tried The Evil Within for the first time and on the latest drivers it's a stuttering mess for me. 7 Days to Die is still broken in the all Re-live drivers (reported it a few times now).

Do you install re-live? If so, have you removed the Xbox overlay from the windows 10?
Those two don't play ball together.

The only time I installed relive was with the initial drivers. Had issues with World of Tanks and never installed it again having no issues with the drivers ever since.
Also since then, went and remove the Xbox bloatware from the Windows 10 also.

No re-live during the installation and i regedit out the Xbox rubbish. Each driver release of re-live i've tried i do a DDU from safe mode as well to cover all bases. In 7 Days the fps just tank from time to time, The Evil Within which i've had installed for a while but never played was just a slideshow mess when i tested for the poster above.
