The AMD Driver Thread

Happy to say that the 17.10.3 drivers are now allowing me to enable HBCC again after not being able to for the last few. Interesting to note how having many games profiles impacts on the Radeon settings performance - the circa 450 profiles I have might have been my problem all along and the recent drivers have just improved the general performance of the settings application where before it was giving up before applying HBCC. If I get issues again I'll try removing the profiles to see if that helps...

17.10.1, 17.10.2 and 17.10.3 will not save Wattman settings on reboot. I tried OverDriveNTool and it is very ropey on if it applies settings.

Edit: Just reverted to 17.10.1 and wattman settings are saving between reboots.

Wattman setting are saving for me on both 17.10.2 and 3. Never used 17.10.1. Is it after every reboot? Can't remember which driver version it was but when I was on 17.9.xx it would occasionally forget my settings after a reboot. Been solid since on 17.10 drivers though

Yes, settings revert to stock (balanced) mode on every single reboot.

I just reverted to 17.10.1 and my wattman settings are saving between reboots.

There seems to be a real big issue with all the AMD drivers and my home cinema, Half the the time I ult tab out of a game my tv will switch to black screen for a sec then switch to desktop the other half of the time it actually switches to black screen and then stays there, I still have sound but no picture then I have to get the remote for the home cinema switch channels and switch back again. it's a very annoying bug or whatever it is never used to do it on my 280x until about a year ago.

Just switched my 280x to a 1080 and when I ult tab it's instant to my desktop no black screen then desktop and no having to get the home cinema remote and change channel again.

Couple of things would be nice, a shortcut button for Power Efficiency on/off.. and in ReLive, to be able to toggle the time on and off but still keeping the red icon on screen to show if recording or not? or is that already in there? Not used ReLive for a while, i didnt install it last time around so i cant check. :)

Ugh, AMD Radeon Settings won't let me resize the window with 17.11.1 ... it becomes a weird pixeled pink and then the program cashes and restarts. Didn't have this issue with 17.10.1.

So installed the latest 17.11.1 AMD drivers today and when I fired up Wolfenstein 2 it keeps locking the refresh rate of my monitor to 60Hz. The game is still running at 100+ FPS though. When I alt-tab out and set the refresh rate back to 75Hz via Window settings, it reverts straight back to 60Hz when I bring Wolfenstein back up again. No other game is affected and it was wasn't doing this on the 17.10.3 driver. @AMDMatt you heard other reports of this and/or you think it is driver related?

Vega64 here, I've been trying to play Wolfenstein The New Order since Vega came out, Terrible GPU utilisation, CTD's, Nothing I do works, Plop in a 980 Ti and it plays no problem.
When I changed to ryzen 1700 nwo and old blood crashes to desktop when loading, worked fine with my old 3770k and used the same fury before and after.
I've since sold the 3770k and fury to my brother in law and he's playing wolfenstein games fine
