Cheers , got it !

Anyone else had problems with the Overlay ?

Just fired Prey up again there, and for the life of me, i couldn't get the Overlay to come on, got the mouse pointer, but had to press ESC, to get the game menu back on, so i could hit Continue, to take control of the game back, so quit it, and fired it back up, this time, i was getting the Overlay, but the game was switching back to Desktop first, and it was over on the left, tried again after a reboot, and its back working ok again :p

it seems to only work in true fullscreen, not borderless. when you alt tab this can in some games swap the game display mode, if it doesn't work press left alt and enter which will always put you back in true full screen mode again. then try the osd.

cant get the AMD Link app working with the software for love nor money. I've tried all evening both scanning the QR code and doing it manually. It finds the PC because I see it displaying the computer name and IP address, but then it just sits there saying connecting then comes up with a delay exceeded message or something along those lines. Given up now.

Had no issues with it, it just works. Not sure yet of it's usefulness though.

@AMDMatt

1) ReLive recording output file cuts off the sound after 30 sec for me. (Overwatch game).
Pass it along if u can, already made a thread in official forums.

2) Perfomance Overlay works only in fullscreen mode? Can u confirm?

Noticed after installing the new drivers that after selecting the custom profile in Wattman that the voltage in state 7 had defaulted to 1250 - wasn't this always 1200 previously or am I mistaken?

My HBM defaults to 800.

Can't seem to get clocks anywhere near what I had previous, and temps seem a lot worse. Struggling to even get through a fire strike benchmark without some kind of crash.

Scores are no where near what I could get previously by some 2/3000 on the graphics.

DDU and reinstalled 3 times now.

Mmm that's a strange one. I've been fine performance wise, apart from 3DMark completely freezing my PC, requiring me to reset via the button on my case on 3 of the 4 attempts I made to launch it, I'm getting similar scores to what I was getting before. I leave the clocks in states 6 & 7 as they are, reduce the voltage to 1115 and 1200 and set HBM to 1100. Ran through Timespy with these without issue. Haven't tried Firestike yet, I'll run that now and see what happens...

Sucks for you though mate, hope you get to the bottom of it.

Already done that 2 times mate.

Guys, to solve your problems, Run DDU in safe mode.

Then install the 17.11.1 drivers, restart, then install the latest drivers on top and restart again.

Will try your settings, what gpu score do you get? You air cooled? And what are your temps like?

Sometimes my PC after a crab my PC restarts itself 3/4 times before it posts. Brand new PC.

Thanks dude will give this a whirl. Always run DDU in safe mode but will try and install them that way round.

It works, because it happened to me when I got my Vega card. Installed 17.11.2 as it was the latest driver. Some stuff wasn't working exactly right, but, I couldn't put my finger on what the problem was. Then I saw that my HBM was maxing out at 800. So when I installed 17.11.1, everything was perfect, then I installed 17.11.2 over it and now the Adrenalin drivers on top of that again.

I am convinced that there is something missing in drivers after 17.11.1. That set of Drivers is over 430MB in size, every driver since is around 330MB. And people are only noticing problems now when they install the Adrenalin drivers because more than likely they ran DDU to remove the older Crimson ones first. Whereas they probably didn't run DDU if they installed 17.11.2, 17.11.3, 17.11.4 over 17.11.1.

I have a liquid cooled card so likely to be a stretch for air at those settings. My GPU score was 7952. My best ever score is 8149. My temps rarely go post 63 with the fan RPM increased to 2600 but not so relevant for air.
