Run the AMD EDID App and view the EDID, then click save and attach the file here or upload it somewhere and share the link with me.

i'll give it a go bud. its literally the only games ive had the flickering issue with that is in fifa 17 and 18 now the same thing its a weird one as every other game is fine that i play. everything was hunky dory with fifa till the adrenaline version.

It doesn't matter what game I try performance overlay breaks frees for me. With the overlay enabled I get screen tearing. Ran DDU and even tried amd clean install. Tried with and without Enhanced-sync.

@AMDMatt anything that I can provide for this to help with bug report? Seems reading from my reddit thread others are not having the same issue.

Wait and see if the next driver fixes it Shanks if its just you seeing this issue.

I'm having a problem which I'm not sure if it started with Adrenalin or a previous driver:

Assassins Creed 3 is giving me low FPS (30 - 50 @ 1650x1050) and low GPU utilisation (30%?) along with low GPU clock speeds (650mhz) on a 290x, Windows 10.

Has anyone else encountered this? Card clocks up fine in benchmarks such as unigen valley.

Green line shows utilisation all over the place, orange line is core clock speed, temps are fine, not throttling.

Edit: Just to add, Adrenalin was installed after DDU, ReLive not installed.

Edit 2: Seems like it's the usual reason for low GPU utilisation - CPU bottleneck. The game is loading up 1 core to 100%, apparently 5820k @ 4.4ghz just isn't enough.

It appears that the latest AMD Linux drivers have an interesting entry naming GFX10 (Vega was GFX9) as a super secret new graphics chip :o

Wonder what this could be and when we will start to see more information about the chip in question ;)

Videocardz has the news so maybe a handful of salt to take with this info lol

To re-hash my post from another thread:
That article has already been debunked - the "new_chip.gfx10.mmSUPER_SECRET.enable[0:0]" text string is from this patch (from back in July) which is just a sample output string and doesn't even relate to the Linux driver, but the debugger "umr".

Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 Highlights

Resolved Issues
  • Radeon Settings Video tab may disappear on some hybrid graphics system configurations after a reboot.
  • AMD XConnect™ Technology enabled system configurations may experience an intermittent system hang on hot plug.
  • GPU Display scaling may fail to enable when desktop resolution is set very low.
  • Region recording in Radeon ReLive will continue to record when the region window is closed.
  • 3x1 display configurations may experience instability during Eyefinity creation or during gaming.
  • Ark Survival Evolved™ may experience heavy flickering or corruption when enabling the performance metrics overlay in Windows®7.
  • A black screen may be experienced when running full screen games on the Samsung CF791 Radeon FreeSync enabled display.
  • Netflix™ playback in a browser or via UWP application may experience stutter.
  • Radeon Overlay performance metrics may appear and disappear intermittently during updates.
  • Color Temperature controls may change colors on the incorrect display when using the reset option.
  • Star Wars™: Battlefront II may experience graphical corruption in some areas of the game.
Known Issues
  • Radeon Settings may experience a hang when enabling AMD CrossFire with three or more graphics products.
  • Trimming videos may fail to create a thumbnail if the video contains non-English characters.
  • Flickering may be observed on the performance metrics overlay when Enhanced Sync is enabled on some Radeon FreeSync connected displays.
  • The “Reset” function in Radeon Settings for Display, ReLive, and Video may not work as intended when using Radeon Settings in certain regional languages.
  • Radeon WattMan may intermittently fail to load profiles for Radeon RX Vega on the global Radeon Wattman page.
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider™ may experience an intermittent application hang during gameplay.
  • A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads.
  • The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads.
  • Performance Metrics Overlay may hang if enabled when cycling display power off and on.

Nice hopefully these fix performance overlay and Freesync switching off

Still the same ~20% performance drop for me in Superposition - and I assume others that I'd previously tested - as the 17.12.1 drivers. :(
Back to 17.11.4 I go. :/

Glad I didn't try them out so. The performance drop doesn't just affect Superposition, VR games too suffer the same large drop in performance.

It can't be just the two of us that are noticing this?
