The AMD Driver Thread

@LtMatt The removal of 32bit support created some issues with Elder Scrolls Online. The loader by default is trying to run 32bit.
That results the Vega 64 is running around 700mhz core and 500mhz HBM.

If force run the 64bit client, the core bounces between 945-1280 and HBM 500-890 (Turbo mode).
All other games are working at 1603-1610 and 1100 HBM on Turbo mode.
Create an app profile for that game and lock clocks to P State 7.

Not driver related but I just looked at the RX 590's & 580's etc from Sapphire & Powercolor and noticed the Warranty's gone up from 2 to 3 years,

It's still two years for the Vega cards but hopefully all new releases from now on will have a longer warranty.

I keep getting crashes playing Assassins Creed Odeyssey. It was fine on the first island and while sailing but now they happen after only a few minutes now I have moved out of the starting area. It is really frustrating.

So far I was running 18.9.3 on a fresh build with a vega 64, I have tried 11.2 but the same happened again. The graphics just stops and it returns to no display but lights and fans running.
Does anyone have any idea? I played several hours yesterday with zero issues.

Who knows. I don't have this issue with both my Vegas, and 2 monitors and 1 TV.
The only information I can find on it is that it only affects certain monitors. It's like instead of the monitor being at 75 Hz when the game outputs 75 FPS, it instead oscillates between 60 Hz and 144 Hz resulting in tonnes of flicker.

No idea I'm afraid ... it runs very well for me (18.11.1 atm), and I'm many hours in. It has crashed only once or twice on me.

Have you tried anything else such as running benchmarks etc.

Thanks, I will try benchmarks but I did when I first built the system and it seemed ok. Is there a better one to try?

I tried playing BF5 after posting on here and managed an hour playing with no trouble. I am sure it is something stupid but it is frustrating. The wife was out and I wanted to crack on with AC. :)

Elevated idle memory clocks on Vega fixed.. finally :)
On the same day that my Vega arrives! Quite a coincidence considering it's been a known issue for, what, a year? I've got two monitors plugged in and it's sitting at 50 MHz core clock using 5 W. My RX 480 used to idle at 600 MHz using 25 W!

Same here with my RX 480 on triple monitors, but when i turned off the 1 DP monitor and the 2 HDMI monitors were only in use, clocks were down again. I think, with me at least, its a DP monitor issue. Had the same with Vega and my DP monitor until this driver fixed it.

I just hope i dont run into any other issues with 18.11.2 as i dont want to revert back to a previous driver now this fix has finally arrived :)

Yeah my main monitor is DP, my secondary was DVI now HDMI-to-DVI since my Vega 56 has no DVI ports. If they were able to fix this for Vega I wonder why not for Polaris?

Same, I really hope this driver doesn't have the FreeSync flicker issue all recent drivers have had on my setup!
