Stuttering can also be caused by superfetch / sysmain service as it can react negatively to games. Simply disable it and reboot to test. If no change turn it back on.

Disabled this, still the same stuttering.

Yeah it is hard to pin down if other AMD users with similar setup are not experiencing the same as you @MyBrains . Would be good if Matt could dig something up from the support end to see if they have a data source to check out what may be the culprit but its unlikely if its one game and a small number of users with the issue.

Yeah, would be nice. Maybe Dayz doesnt like GCN/HBM and Navi may work.. wishful thinking.

Is the 7950 GCN? I still have my old Dual X here.

Just depends on game releases tbh no major games coming out atm so no game ready drivers.

Who will fix the known issues and bugs then, and who will certify WHQL the latest 19.7.5 Beta?

Known Issues
  • Some system configurations may experience green color corruption after install of Radeon Software when running Windows® 10 May 2019 update.
  • Stutter may be experienced when Radeon FreeSync is enabled on 240hz refresh displays with Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
  • Radeon Performance Metrics may report incorrect VRAM utilization.
  • AMD Radeon VII may experience elevated memory clocks at idle or on desktop.
  • Radeon Overlay may intermittently fail to appear when toggled in game.
  • Audio for clips captured by Radeon ReLive may be corrupted or garbled when desktop recording is enabled.
  • Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics may experience a black screen during uninstall on Windows®7 system configurations. A work around is to perform uninstall in safe mode.
  • Recording clips with Radeon ReLive may result in blank clips on Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics with Windows®7 system configurations.
  • Enabling Enhanced Sync may cause game, application or system crashes on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products

I see. Users have been complaining for years that AMD ignores the tickets with reports of bugs and never fixes them, based on some weird sense of prioritising some things over others.
Also, new drivers are expected to bring performance boosts, not just support for new games.
Will Navi get some performance boosts to get to RTX 2070S level?

People alwa seem to think it's always the drivers that amd gain over time, while I do agree they do to some extent.
But the real gain is from developers optimisation on the GPUs.

Navi will get stronger has more games get built on Navi.
Playstation 5 and xbox are now more closer to the current PC platform than they ever have been before.

Borderlands 3 is right around the corner that will be the first game built with Navi from the get go.
