The long and the short of it is that the phase 2 driver has been delayed by roughly an additional two months, with AMD now expecting to have a public release of the phase 2 driver ready at some point in January.

I'd forgotten about this, oh my god.

AMD have lost the plot with their drivers if you ask me.

Just look at this. For someone who isnt in the know that is completely bewildering what to download and install.

Is 13.9 still the lastest non beta driver? Becuase I also see a 13.10 and a 13.11...

What's so confusing?
13.9 = all gpus
13.10 is for support r29 series
13.11 is for all gpus with latest performance and tweaks.

i was also having this issue, also it would run solidly for hours of gaming then after a reboot the screen would flicker and i would get a bluescreen saying something about amd driver. . .

i just deleted everything off and re installed and it seems ok now so far.

im using 7950 CF

Hey guys got a question. I replaced my 7770 with an r9 290 on monday. I uninstalled the 7770 drivers, then i installed the r9 290 but now i see these files

Should i delete the one installed on 11/11? Obviously yes, but is it ok to manually delete it?

Yes its just the old driver install file.

Delete the whole AMD folder in the root of C drive, I always do as I have limited space on my ssd. Its just where the installer unpacks to and runs from. Once driver is installed this folder is never referred to again by the system.

13.11 beta 9.5 playing up still even after installing them again.

Driver not responding while sitting on the desktop and desktop freezes up for a second or two and then refreshes saying the driver stopped working, and at the minute no oc.

Any overclocks? Driver stopped responding happens when a overclock isn't stable and it needs more voltage.

Nope, he did say no overclocks.

Might be a virus like that Bitcoin thing that is going about and worth seeing if your GPU is hard at work while you are just on the desktop.

Opp's missed that bit. I see he has Unlocked 290 to 290x would this also need extra voltage?

Not for desktop. It sounds like something is running foul in his machine to me.
