**THE AMD DRIVERS THREAD**

I've had a brief go on BF4 (mantle) with these new 14.4's and the leaked ones were better it seems with my 7970's.
Cards were running at 95-100% before, but are struggling to get past 60% now and fps are quite a way down regardless of which pacing method I use.

Need to do some more testing, I guess...

OK, what are my tired eyes missing, did something change in the 3 hours since LtMatt posted this?

These are 14.4 Beta, but they're going to become WHQL soon i believe. Definitely much newer driver than the 14.4 leaked press drivers.

I think they're awaiting WHQL certification.

LT called it.

What do people use to monitor the FPS with Mantle and BF4 please ?

Kaaps use this. Place it in your Origin Games/Battlefield 4 folder. Makes life easy. :)

I don't like the new drivers.
My cards were screaming last night after a moderate BF4 session, they don't normally.

I'll try mantle to see if that makes any difference but so far I am not impressed :-(

Drivers don't alter fan profiles, however they do improve performance and fps. Apparently DX11 got a bump in performance in BF4 with these drivers so that could be why your cards are working harder. Alter your fan profile if needed.

Hi all. Small question.

Do you guys normally install the beta drivers? I have a 280x and I have the 13.12 drivers (last stable version I think) but I see there are the 14.x beta drivers already.

Personally, I prefer a stable system than an unstable system with a small FPS boost.

Should I just download the beta drivers, and hope for the best (I read some GPUs were burnt using some beta drivers) or should I keep the stable drivers, and update once the 14.x goes out of beta?

Thanks
