Is the AMD Gaming Evolved app that installed itself with the new 14.4 drivers useful? Meaning does it do what its suppose to do well at all?

I'd say humbug is more Matts wingman :p

Anyway Matt is it worth me installing the new set? On RC atm and really cant be arsed to install these as im thinking if i stay on the Beta's theres less chance of any possible corruption when 14.5 Beta comes along.

Hey i'm just thinking ahead here ;)

I installed them. Not sure if there is a difference. The file size is 25mb smaller on the WHQL which is interesting.

Ok i think i'll leave it. That flickering in BF4 menu's has gone for now. Maybe its cuz i had Second Life running in the background at the same time as i havnt had the flickering since so the RC's seem stable so far. Im still monitoring the VRAM usage on BF4 Ultra settings but i'll post in the Mantle Feedback thread in the week.

As long as the driver works fine, ignore it. Have you used a driver sweeper tool without first uninstalling the driver the normal way? Because ive had this happen before after doing that. The driver install fine, but it reports an error. The error us usual harmless and can just be ignored. The only solution i found was a system restore till before you used the driver sweeper or a OS reinstall. If you've not used such a tool, then no idea. :p

TL : DR

If you use a driver sweeper uninstall the driver first normally, restart into safe mode then use the sweeper.

In my experience the most reliable and safest sweeper tool to use is DDU. I wouldn't use any of the others and that includes AMD's own tool.

Was going to post and ask why each time I install 14.4 (beta or WHQL) I get a message saying installed but with errors. I see you have covered my question.

The drivers are installed and seem to run fine, it just bugs me that it tells me I have errors, however minor or not!
