AMD uninstaller broke my win8 install as well. To be fair though if id read it before using it it did say Windows 7 only lol.

Yeh it broke my windows 8 too something with permissions and couldn't disable windows defender so had to re install always use DDU now.

This is why I don't use DDU.... I tried it.. safe mode... I clicked remove AMD or NVIDIA folder... then when I install the new driver they install but you yet the yellow icon that means error instead of the green tick....

I created a restore point..did that... installed again and this time I got the green tick and no errors so whats that all about? why do I get that error when I use DDU but its fine when I use normal uninstaller.

Do you guys tick remove the amd folder?

Yes this is why i tell people to uninstall the driver first normally, then run DDU, restart into safe mode, clean, restart, install new driver. I had the same problem a while back.

Do you tick the remove amd and NVidia folder option that's not ticked by default?

Ill try it your way... and see if I still get the error when I install them after DDU. I made a system restore save so I can always go back to that again

Wise choice. If you don't have a system restore you have to reinstall windows, or put up with that error. If you do it my way you'll never get that error don't worry. :)

Same 2 questions I ask on every driver release although believe the first has already been answered and its a no.

Is crossfire fixed in BF4 for 7xxx cards?

And

Have AMD sorted out the power/sound issue with AV receivers?

Cheers.
No, the sound still cuts out on my Omkyo in windows mate.

People are running DDU without uninstalling the drivers first? wow

Its basically a crap cleaner for GPU drivers.. thats how i look at it anyway.

Btw anything different between the official and Guru downloads? I see the AMD download is .002 KB larger than the Guru3D download. :p

I don't bother uninstalling drivers each time, I just install over of the top of the previous one like a bet most people do.

did it the way matt said and this time it worked...no errors or anything.

Still though the main reason I wanted these was for watch dogs as crossfire didn't work on 14.4...it gave me negative scaling... Now on 14.6 im still getting the exact same negative scaling so that's annoying lol.

70 fps with single card on ultra...55-60 with crossfire enabled.. no difference than the old drivers.

Heres a screenshot I took on 14.6 while running watchdogs... I have no idea if that looks normal but either way im still getting negative scaling.

I always uninstall through Windows first.. I rarely have problems doing it this way and only remember having 1 problem a month or so ago so i used DDU. Not used it since and now carry on installing my normal way through Windows.

14.6 seem to be running great atm :D

My current install of Win 7 will be 2 years old come July and my system is still running great :)

Though i probly need to fresh install 7 sometime when i can be bothered.. lol Im so freakin lazy. :p

In the download link they say may 23rd, Meaning these are old betas right ?

That's only a few days old, but yes. They obviously got past the final checks and were made available for watchdogs, Thief Mantle crossfire support and the soon to be released Murdered Soul Suspect support. That releases 6th of June and i have it on pre-order via a AMD gold ticket.

Ouch!! That doesn't sound good! Was just about to give these a whirl now but I think I'll hold off and wait.

Since win 7 lets you replace graphics card drivers without having to reboot, I have managed to get into Watch Dogs with them and I'm seeing a slightly higher min frame rate overall and a 3 degree increase in max temp using my same custom fan profile in afterburner. It's cool they squeezed in extra performance but the black screen thing kind of sucks.
