Any-one running crossfire and wanting to reduce temps I cant recommend this enough, LtMatt made the suggestion.

120mm high static pressure Corsair fan, I mounted it using cable ties to fix it tightly into place and its situated mainly to push air between the cards where all the hot air gathers.

My case had poor airflow NZXT H440 and it's reduced my temps by 11c on the top GPU, cases with good airflow will still see a 8c drop.

That worked really well when I was rocking the Alpenfohn :D

Anyway, problem of the day time! Bear with me, there's probably lots of unnecessary info here...

Yesterday, I had to test a couple of AMD cards prior to sale, so I bunged my SSD (with OS) onto a test bench running my old mobo and another 2600k.
All went fine as it just had to update devices followed by me reinstalling drivers.

The problem came when putting the SSD back into my PC.
It all works fine and I can reinstall drivers (14.6RC2), but I get the message saying that warnings/errors may have occurred and I can no longer select 5.1 when running hdmi to my AV amp. All it gives me is 2 channel.

I've tried deleting the AMD driver certificate and the usual uninstall/DDU procedure (many times) and I'm absolutely stumped right now.
Haven't tried any games yet.

Halp!

ED: Never mind. Eventually tried installing drivers over the previous installation and it worked with error warnings.
The audio issue turned out be a setting on my amp that I never changed in the first place

Can anyone summarise what 14.7s do over 14.4s?

I'm having problems with crashes in BF4 on Mantle and I've isolated it to either the drivers or Mantle. So I'm going to try different drivers but wanted to know what I'm missing first.

When you say crashes, are you talking driver resets or actually Battlefield crashes? Is it giving you BF4 Mantle/Driver errors, if so got a screenshot?

If its BF4 with Mantle the issue is BF4.. Known issue atm only CTE will fix it or wait for September patch from Dice. Last patch broke the games performance for a lot of people, CPU spikes being the worst and resulting in game crashing.

Had my PC freeze up couple times now.

This maybe nothing or it might be useful, i found that in using Mantle rather than DX i have had to pump the volts on my CPU slightly.

Yep i found that too. I was getting crashing randomly to desktop with no error message, upping cpu, dram and vccio a notch fixed it.

Running stock here on CPU, BF4 worked perfectly before last DLC even CTE works fine, but normal version is a joke with massive CPU spikes and crashing.. Thing is I dont even play it that much anymore to even care...

CSGO and insurgency for me.

I think the next logical step would be to change drivers so I'll try that see what happens and then fiddle with my CPU voltage. I've been very generous on my CPU vcore IIRC so I doubt it's that. Also wouldn't it blue screen if it was that? Mine I just get BF4 has stopped working etc...

No it would not. Do me a favour, put your cpu/dram/gpu and voltages back to stock/Auto. If it does not crash, you know why. I'm calling an unstable clock purely for the reason I've been playing BF4 a hell of a lot recently and no crashes here, but I've been at stock. Cursed Mantle making cpu/gpu overclocking pointless.

Matt you playing the normal version?
