Wow that's £150 on fans, I'd be better buying another case :-)

Thanks for your help, I'll have to think of something else.

You could just put one or two in the front, directly in front of the gpu's. Hell even just one in between the gpu's literally forcing cold air through them and out the rear of those remove pci brackets will help. You need a fan with high static pressure, those Noctua would be perfect. Try it!

It's the bottom gpu you need to get its hot air away faster from top gpu sucking in the hot air. Putting a fan onto or side isn't enough you can safely Trust me I been there. ;)
TThe only way with these GPUs is more space, it's not just msi cooling it's all GPUs of this type they push all there hot air into the case and the reason your top card is very hot is because all its getting is back draft.

Hey removing them PCI brackets has dropped me from 94 down to 88.

How should I do it cable tie a fan in front of the GPU's inside the case?

Put a fan with very high static pressure near the end of the gpu's forcing cold air between them. The higher static pressure, the better the results you will get.

Ok will get one, thanks.

Just out of interest LtMatt do you use Vsync or frame limit when playing bf4, I noticed a screen shot of yours showing 60fps.

Im trying to get a smooth experience on my 4k and dont know which to use if any. My FPS are good, I just seem to suck at playing BF4 on my new display

I didn't used to, but due to the hot weather recently I've started doing this. I recommend using vsync and limiting fps to 59 using a User.Cfg file. This will help keep temps down a bit.

Right lads, fingers crossed I spot the DPD lady with my OCUK/AMD prize winning 290X DcuII along with MOAR power for my imminent return to the CrossFire Club:D:D:D:

MY DELIVERY
1 x AMD Provided Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £0.00
1 x SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 1300W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £143.99

Total : £143.99

Running 14.6, for me they are rock hard, really really good-probably the best Iv'e used on my 290X.

Am I sticking with 14.6, or moving to 14.7 as Iv'e read of a few 'glitches' with CCC, clocks, flickering?

Ok, does it make gameplay smoother or no effect.

I use it to keep temps down. For Mantle it does not really make it any smoother, it helps on DX though.

14.7 is almost identical to 14.6, just a few crossfire profile updates. I'd update.

Great price on that 1300W, i paid £5 more for the 1000W version from OcuK.

Seems to keep down some stuttering I was getting at 90fps funnily enough, anyway I'm now gaming at my normal standards again.

Can you take a look at the screen shots below for me, its dropped the GPU usage right down from 100% but the 2nd GPU seems to be doing a bit more work than the first, is this ok.

Also there's a shot of my system and pagefile memory being used as we talked about yesterday.

All looks fairly normal to me. Gpu usage will drop a bit if you limit the fps as they gpu's don't have to work as hard.

Have you disabled ULPS?

What would be more helpful is using my User.Cfg file i posted and taking some screenshots with all the overlay and performance info showing. You can take a screenshot or two by bring up the console and typing Render.Screenshot

Yeah ULPS disabled, will do you a couple of screen shots later. ;)

Am using Asus p8z77 ws supports 4x pcie 16x dual 16x quad at 8x or how I have it 16x - 8x.

You want a board that supports a bottom slot that is at least 8x pci 2.0 and 4x pci 3.0

Guru? Who downloads drivers from Guru lol. I always get mine from the AMD / nVidia site. All installed will give it a run tonight.
