Nah, I am joking but surprised you made the switch. Interested to see a neutrals POV on Mantle.

I loved my 780 to bits but just the new toy syndrome. I will certainly be giving my perspective on it and commenting on the 'smoothness' which gets touted. Though to be fair they are mainly coming from multi-GPU users so I can't comment on that aspect.
Net cost £0 after I sell the golden turd ticket.
xfire displays double the actual vram usage.
For example, I had skyrim running on xfire with 7970's and it was showing as 5.5GB usage.
Good work. How was it playing? Graphics look freaking awesome!
Yes you're exceeding your vram limit, so if performance drops off, hitches etc you know why. Try and keep below 4000MB of vram usage. AA might need to be lowered a tad if you're experiencing choppy gameplay. If it's not too bad, then don't worry about it.
Looks very nice man![]()
Was this Mantle? If so I read around the time mantle was coming out that crossfire would be able to stack the vram.
Or it could be how hwinfo64 shows on mine, you just half the max and that will give you how much vram you using.
Plays really smooth capped with vsync, without it I cant hit **** all, I play really poor, wonder what can cause this as my average FPS are around 90.
I find Alt Tabbing out and back in again shoots up the Vram usage quite a lot, but how can I use more than I actually have.
Yeah using Mantle, I cant be using 2Gb of Vram surely?
