**THE AMD DRIVERS THREAD**

Advanced Warfare running fine with my 6970s here...using 14.9.2 beta and running Windows 10.

Was very pleased to say the least as its normally a few days at least before that happens :)

When are AMD releasing fixed drivers COD:AW?

A friend said nVidia have already released drivers that work better with the game.

I don't believe multi gpu works in this game for either vendor currently, but we will address this in our next driver. As soon as it's ready, i will post it here.

Is there any word on driver support for Assassin's Creed Unity? That game will be a beast to run, it would be nice to let my crossfire off the leash.

Matt,

Just an FYI,

World of Tanks support SLI for quite some time now, but not Crossfire.
Also in this game, half my 295X2 (a single 290X) at 1100 Mhz is 30%+ slower than my old PNY XLR8 GTX780 OC at 1080p with everything maxed out and at factory overclock speeds.

780, sniping mode 110fps+, commander view average high 70s, very rarely drop bellow 60.

290X (half my 295X2), sniping mode never goes more than 80fps, commander view most time between 40-60 fps, very rarely going above.

Using 14.9.2, but was the same with 14.9.1 and 14.7 since I bought my 295.

Ofc other games (except TESO which is clunky also) things run fine eg Crysis, Tomb Raider, Beyond Earth etc.

I usually end up playing the same few games on the few occasions I actually get time on the PC - Just Cause 2, Sniper Elite V2, etc. Decided a few days ago that I would venture out and actually play some of my other games for a while to try to get into them.

Fired up Alien Isolation, just got a grey screen on startup. Remembered it doesn't like 3+1 screen setups (reported it on their forums when I got the game), disabled one monitor and it startup up perfectly on just 3 screens. Got a few scenes into the game and am now stuck as one in-game monitor goes blank as soon as I try to use it. Looking on the forums, it looks like an issue with the game that stems from using Crossfire - reported by Shankly1985 (http://forums.alienisolation.com/fo...ug-computer-terninals-and-rewire-black-screen) and the Sega rep has pointed the finger at the AMD driver for this.

Gave up on that and opened up Titanfall, which crashed every time I started it up at 5760x1080. After modifying the Crossfire profile to 1x1 optimised, it now starts but runs really slow and some of the shadows and textures are flashing in game. From this very thread, it looks like the developers have broken AA in the game, and the current Crossfire driver needs some work.

Matt, I know you're aware of the Titanfall issue, are your aware of the Alien Isolation one too?

Moral of the story, I shouldn't leave my comfort zone and just stick with the games I know, love, and work well. Just Cause 2, Sleeping Dogs, Sniper Elite - please take me back, I'm sorry I tried to move on! :D

Thanks Stu. I always keep an eye on this thread so don't worry. I will report the Alien Isolation issue as i saw that myself recently.

Thanks Matt, you're a star (as always). Is it better to post issues in this thread, submit a bug report on the official feedback form or both? Don't want to cause you/your guys extra work by duplicating reports unnecessarily.

I take it back...xfire not running properly for me...game runs a lots better and smoother on only one card.

Looking forward to new drivers :)

Any ETA on that?

Also, Is there any way to downsample 3440x1440 to 2560x1080 on a Dell U2913WM? Tried CRU and get 'resolution not supported' on the monitor.
Could i just use 2x SSAA in CCC?

both AMD / Nvidia driver team must be very busy in this month...Shadow of modor + Lord of fallens + COD AW + AC U + Far Cry 4 + dragon age Inquisition ...

I believe its going to take a while to get CF profile for them :(
Although I hate ubi but I really like FarCry / AC

Any update on the 290 xfire and DPC spikes issue, AMDMatt? I know I'm not the only one having this problem (AMD's forum has a thread going on it), and you did mention the issue had been replicated and was being addressed sometime soon.

What does LatencyMon list ?? DPC latency can be from aload different drivers.. From Audio to Networking it only takes one to be hanging the system and give a DPC spike.

Nope. Definitely graphics driver related. Every other process is low latency and then it spikes up over 15k the second I enable vsync. I'll have to double check the process, but I think it's dxkrnl or something like that. I posted it earlier in the thread somewhere or in the other thread I made on the subject before I worked out the cause. On my phone or I would dig it out.

E: Yeah dxgkrnl.sys

Whats the rest of your system spec?
When I had DPC issues on my system USB+Audio drivers was the main issue... Long story short
After months trying to fix the issue I changed to windows 8 and I was doing step by step till the issue came back, what I found was a surprise. I had an SSD 60GB a caching drive to a 2TB hard-drive it was this that was making the Audio stutter and skip..

What I trying to say here, is just because the issue is pointing towards DirectX dont rule out something completely different giving the issue.

just a quick heads up from my camp,

Tried up to 14.9.2 and I am still getting the same xfire enabled lock ups on 3dmark, titanfall, assetto corsa and gauntlet

14.7 drivers seem fine however
