Whats the rest of your system spec?
When I had DPC issues on my system USB+Audio drivers was the main issue... Long story short
After months trying to fix the issue I changed to windows 8 and I was doing step by step till the issue came back, what I found was a surprise. I had an SSD 60GB a caching drive to a 2TB hard-drive it was this that was making the Audio stutter and skip..

What I trying to say here, is just because the issue is pointing towards DirectX dont rule out something completely different giving the issue.

Oh I agree. The same setup was fine with identical hardware and configuration running 2 7950s though, and I have also tried a clean install of windows so it should be a fairly isolated issue. That and the fact Matt confirmed it as a replicated issue makes me fairly certain that it isn't just on my end.

Hi Matt,

I'm having issues with my Gigabyte R9 280X and artifacts in game and was hoping to get your advice. When running benchmarks I don't see any artifacts and the benchmark runs without crashing. 3D mark, Cinebench and Res evil 6.

When I'm playing battlefield 4 and Rome 2 Total War I am getting bad artifacting as shown in this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18634327&page=2.

I have completely re-install drivers using DDU 3 times now and still the problem persists. I have also lowered the factory overclock and although not as bad it still happens. Is there a known issue with the drivers and this problem?

Latest non beta drivers from AMD website.

Have you got a screenshot of the artifacts?

See that link. On the OCuk forum thread I posted above both pictures are on there.

No known issue that I'm aware of Dazzo. You say if you lower the overclock it improves?

Devrij, i have the same issue with DPS in crossfire with Vsync enabled, any update at all on this Matt?

No update yet guys, I will post as soon as i have one.

Interested to know if those drivers fix it though that Shankly linked earlier.

It improves slightly but is still there. This is on Rome 2 I haven't had time to test it again yet on BF4 as I was completely fed up at this point. I will try record some game footage of Rome 2 so you guys can see what it's like but I will need to go home to do so.

Running it at the factory OC of 1100 on BF4 I get what was in the picture on every map and during the whole round on different servers. It's impossible to play because of how annoying it was.

I want a different GFX card but I'm being told it's a game issue now.

Download OCCT and run a gpu error check for twenty minutes. Use shader complexity 3. If it produces errors at the cards stock clocks, you have a faulty gpu.

Hi Matt, at first glance there is some improvement with that driver, but not loads. It makes Payday2 playable now with vsync which is great (only one major stutter, and only minor audio cutouts and popping). DPC latency still very high though at sticks at 15-16k constantly when in game (eg not a spike, but a constant 15-16k), so still getting some irritating popping with the audio (particularly noticeable with a constant sound like the drills in payday when they stutter slightly). I'm gonna test a couple other games to see how they fare.

E: Alien seems perfect now. Sweet sweet joy! 60% gpu usage on each card and 60fps locked at ultra. Now THIS is why I bought these cards. More testing to be done!

What motherboard are you both using?

Gigabyte z77x D3H. Other games seem bang on so far (only tested alien isolation and war of the roses, but both are perfect now with very low DPC throughout games). Payday 2 seems the odd one out as the dud now, but will keep testing.

E: tomb raider runs quite smoothly, but does have a few stutters here and there that coincide with the same 15k DPC spikes. No audio crackle and pop though so it's playable.
