I seem to be getting non stop crashes on BF4 since installing 14.11.2 betas. Had 4 BF4 not responding messages in the last few hours so going to roll back me thinks.

nope shanks. just boots me out to the bf4 has stopped working message

getting this error

bf4.exe

It's error id 1000. I've wiped drivers and reinstalled still getting the same. Only thing I've not tried is rolling back to the 14.9 driver. I'm using the 14.11.2 beta because of the improved performance of new games and profiles. Any idea if this is even a graphic driver error?

Tried this, the install goes fine as usual but then after restarting I just get a black screen :D

I'm still stuck on 14.4 and I'm missing all these performance boosts :(

Aww man tried everything on the weekend but still no luck. It is actually putting me off buying Dragon Age as the 14.4 drivers have issues with it I think.

Anyone else got any more advice? I've tried clearing both AMD and Intel drivers and running DDU for both. Then when I install the new drivers it goes through everything okay and when I reboot = black screen + unresponsive PC. I read it was a common issue on older drivers but it is still persistent for me!

I have an error with any drivers after the WHQL 14.9 release, which results in me being completely unable to use an Eyefinity configuration on my dual R9 290X.

I basically go through the Eyefinity setup, and on the very last stage (the one where you align the grid of lines), it will black screen after and all the monitors will go into standby due to losing signal. The only way to recover it is to restart the PC. This happens with Crossfire enabled or disabled, with complete DDU driver wipes. It only happens on the beta drivers. 14.9 WHQL and the releases previous to it work fine. I am running Asus DirectCU II R9 290X 4GB cards on Windows 8.1 Pro.

But it's annoying because I want to play Dragon Age Inquisition with Crossfire enabled (yeah, I know a single R9 290X is more than enough to ultra it, but I want MOAR damnit!), but in order to do so, I lose the ability to Eyefinity my other games (like EVE Online, where I find Eyefinity extremely useful).

Hmm, not the best of starts with my R9 290's - doesn't matter which driver I use 14.4, 14.9 or the latest beta, I still have Black screens followed by "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" messages.

These black screen's occur at various times, sometimes when on desktop, sometimes in Firefox when watching Youtube video's, and almost always when playing games.

I've done a clean install of Win 7 64-bit but issue persists.

System is as follows

i7 3770k @ 4.6ghz
Gigabyte Z77X-UP7
16GB Adata RAM
Liteon SSD (win 7 install)
Zalman ZM 1000-HP (1000W)
Powercolor R9 290 (stock)
Xonar sound card

I've ran OCCT which either produces the error after a few minutes or black screens and requires a hard reboot.

Anyone got any idea?

What sound card you using? I have also been getting couple driver stopped responding errors, and after digging deeper and running latencymon it seems to be directx and c-media audio.

Am about to reinstall windows am using xonar d2x sound card.

I take it it's not looking good ??

I started the monitor, played a Youtube video which basically started something was wrong, then I fired up Spotify and Occt and ran them together - running for about 2 minutes.

Anybody else out there with a Xonar soundcard having issues?

Heck, it might be worth someone just running the latencymon on whatever there setup is to see if it makes a difference.

I'll see about uninstalling my Xonar and see if the issue goes away.

I tried, but then getting directX spikes and can't put my finger on what is making it happen.

I not even sure how long this been going on for because I dont use two GPU's that much.. On single GPU I have no issue.. Its only when I enable crossfire my audio driver latency goes high.

If you are getting dx latency spikes try unplugging your second monitor. That is the only workaround for it right now. God knows why it's happening, but any non-eyefinity monitors hooked up will cause crazy dpc spikes with xfire and vsync enabled.
