This VSR release is a bit of a flop IMO. No 4k for top-end cards, No support AT ALL for anything below a 290 (except 285). "Focusing on R7 and R9", what a load of bullcrap! I feel quite alienated by the "new" drivers. 4K upscaling only available on the 285? What....

Not a good start for me with these Omega drivers, they won't even detect my 7970! Lets me install CCC and Evolved app etc but not the drivers. Tried both custom and express and download the drivers twice now. No luck.

Back to 14.11 beta 2, card's detected, drivers installed.....

Completely broken for me as well with r9 290, windows 8.1.

CCC refuses to work, tells me there are no settings that can be configured using CCC.
Monitor refresh rate detected at 64hz instead of 60, limited resoloutions availiable and the reccomended res is wrong for my panel which ive never seen happen in previous drivers.
Bf4 crashes with a directx error on the load screen and displays it letterboxed

gone back to older driver and still stuck with the same mess of resoloutions and same error with CCC. Guess im reinstalling windows later today.
 
I did a driver sweep with DDU, installed the new drivers and it didn't install video or audio drivers correctly but did install CCC, I just reinstalled again over the partial installation and it worked fine, may be worth a try?

Sorry i forgot to mention i did uninstall via CP, and then cleaned with DDU in safe mode. I made sure to grab the latest DDU before i even started.
Tried a fair few times now, everthing installs without error old or new drivers but CCC doesnt want to play anymore and seems to be stuck incorrectly detecting my screen as a 64hz 1024x768 panel.

Just tried a redownload of the new omega drivers as you suggested petey, still no different for me.

The current version of DDU cant seem to undo something this new driver has done on my machine so i think im stuck.
 
I was also cursing the lack of VSR support for my 7970. Then I came back to planet earth and said to myself, I'm already struggling to max out modern games on 1080p, so using VSR would have been just a wet dream with this card anyway.
 
Make sure you download the right drivers. I downloaded them from the windows 7/8 64 bit link, but I noticed when I was downloading that the name of the driver only mentioned windows 7. And when I tried to install them only the catalyst control centre was installed.

So I went back to the AMD website and looked for the windows 8.1 version and they worked fine.
