Indeed. 13.8 are a little buggy but they're great drivers. Just need some polish. I had a few problems getting them installed with Windows 8 but i seem to be in the minority there as others here with Windows 8 didn't have any problems. I had to disable driver signature verification before i could get them to install. Give them a try and see how you get on.

Sadly the 13.8 is abselute crap for me in both win 7 and win 8 after fresh install. Must be the specific combo of cards i have running or something cause the 13.6 beta is trucking along just nicely. A bit sad though cause i really wanted that Frame Pacing stuff to work for me.

What were the problems you were getting? I know there is a bug that if you don't disable ULPS with beta 2 you get crap performance.

FPS seems to be high enough but overall smoothness is through the floor. Perhaps i shall try again after yet another extensive driver sweep and this time disable ULPS. Crossing my fingers :P

AMD recommend you uninstal the old drivers every time you install any driver, beta or not. It's always in their driver release notes, or linked from it. They are just covering themselves.

Loled your welcome to try but i cannot garantie that i wont slap you back :P. I never had to disable ULPS in the past. But it works for 13.8 and my god now that it does what a completely different and awwsome experience. Seems to be much better CPU utilization in BF3 as well. 64player maps dont below 68fps which is a huge improvement. Smoothness feels very good to, i'm impressed. So ty for the tip, i owe you a beer.

Express uninstall with the official install tool, boot into Safe Mode, one sweep of Driver Fusion, reboot and a quick CCleaner registry fix.

That's what I do on Windows 8 and never had any issues with this method.

Don't use it on Windows 8, it breaks it. Thracks said a Windows 8 version is coming and offered it to me to try when i was having issues installing 13.8 but i declined at the time as i got around the problem i was having.

Ok will stick to driver fusion for time being. I went back to 13.8 beta 1 on beta 2 I was getting horrible BSOD and red screens.

You sure? I only get that when my core voltage is too low and ive been playing a hell of a lot of battlefield 3 recently on 13.8 and ive definitely had zero stability issues. Have you got any overlays or radeonpro running with it?
 
Probably does very little. That was brought in around Crysis 2 time when Nvidia used to heavily tessellate things that couldn't be seen to deliberately harm AMD performance. AMD's tessellation performance is high now so i wouldn't expect to see any drastic changes with any mid to high range tahiti card.
