New toy in town, who's giving it a spin?

Display Driver Uninstaller with W8 compatibility.

the new gfx card install option could be a life saver with the black screen problem.

Contemplating on updating the drivers now I have found a new game to play. Do the majority of you clean sweep the files first or just install over the top?

I always just install over the top. I've had problems a couple of times going from beta to non-beta, but the solution is then do a clean sweep and reinstall.

No point doing the clean sweep first, when it's only needed a fraction of the time.

Cool beans tommy. I nominate you old chap, what do you say? ;)

EDIT

Oh this is not an official Windows 8 un-installer. I was speaking to Thracks about some issues with the 13.8 drivers the other day. I think AMD are going to release an official uninstaller for Windows 8 shortly like the one that currently exists for Windows 7.

You should never install over the top of a beta, always uninstall beta's regardless whether it's another beta/non beta.

This. A thousand times this. Cue lots of people now saying i do this every time without issue. :p

The point is AMD don't recommend it.

Anyone see improvements on crossfire not just visually but with the fps count/fluctuations?

My beta v is 13.1, took me a while to find a working driver with crossfire back then so not touched it with the old "if it aint broke.."

If you're a crossfire user you should always be looking to use the latest stable beta driver to ensure you stay on top of the game for driver updates. I highly recommend 13.8 beta 2. If you have problems with that then id recommend 13.6 beta 2. 13.8 has frame pacing which should allow for a smoother experience while gaming.

Has been some decent gains in both frame rates and frame times since 13.1, would highly recommend taking the latest 13.8 beta 2 drivers for a spin :)

Indeed. 13.8 are a little buggy but they're great drivers. Just need some polish. I had a few problems getting them installed with Windows 8 but i seem to be in the minority there as others here with Windows 8 didn't have any problems. I had to disable driver signature verification before i could get them to install. Give them a try and see how you get on.
