Thanks ill do that then. Can you confirm can i update to 8.1 via windows update on the 18th or will i need to install 8.1 fresh with an official ISO?

I thought I answered this. No need for a fresh install of Windows mat. 8.1 is a update. no reinstall us needed.

Not sure why I got a driver failure install notification yesterday.

I as usual unchecked everything other than the display driver and it's prerequisites and it seemed to have installed fine, but I also got a install failure notification.

Has anyone tried 13.10 on the Heaven 4 bench. I used them last night with my HD 7970s, what a difference. Without frame pacing it was awful @1600p with massive stuttering. With frame pacing it was very smooth and I was able to run the cards with higher overclocks as well.

You finally got them installed then?

Good lad. The frame pacing is great. They did a really good job i think. Hopefully they finish it off soon with the Eyefinity drivers.

The game been running for ages on Amd drivers, Think they just listing them this time has they didn't in the release notes for 13.10, but the profile was already there think it was matt the pointed it out couple weeks back.

There's a difference between a profile and optimization, this driver has definitely been released for BF4.
