** The AMD Navi Thread **

this is sarcasm right?
His technical analysis has always been good and his passion for the subjects comes through, although he does tend to throw a **** fit when confronted.

But now he's just known as the guy who "lied" about Zen 2 and Navi, which is largely unfair given those making such accusations have no comprehension of shifting goalposts, changing targets and timescales.

Adordtv is probably the best tech guy out there. Atleast imo he is the best to watch.

It's funny people post videos on youtube to be seen so maybe you need to learn what youtube is for lmfao.

No is not. All his content is anti AMD bickering behind Patreon paywall the last 2 months.

Unfortunately the moment AMD came out with the CPUs, went behind paywall and started bickering against AMD. Video after video. Initially blamed his sources, then started blaming AMD for lying regarding the leaks.

He has become the joke of the whole community, to the point when earlier in July posted a part 2 video when Part 1 was behind paywall, got so many negative comments and downvotes that he removed it completely.
Since then many left his channel and cancelled their Patreon to him.
Hence he is starting coming back to youtube because the revenue is down.

Yeah, I noticed this recently. His latest video moaning about Navi's "historical problems" and "AMD Jimbaited" are just pathetic. Unsubbed very quickly after that.

Tom from Moore's Law Is Dead commented recently that he felt AMD's marketing team had used Adored Jim to hype Zen 2 and Navi, and then left him to the wolves when the leaked information (which was already 10 months old) didn't pan out. If that's true then I'd be annoyed too, but the petulant whining about it is unprofessional; other people had the same information as Jim and I don't see them kicking up as much of a fuss.

Although even if Paul from Red Gaming Tech was frothing at the mouth I wouldn't know because I can't stand listening to that guy slurring like he's had a stroke...

How do you know all this? Are you a patreon of his? Do you have access to his videos and explanations?

I really can't be sympathetic to someone whose angle is selling speculation on half baked rumours.

Without getting religious about it, his house is built on sand.

It's a shame there isn't a card to power my 4k freesync tv.

Was hoping to grab a custom one of these and sell my gtx 1080 but doesn't seem worth it.

Having freesync would be nice but not sure it worth the £250 or so it cost me to do the switch.

Nice!!! Have to say my Vega56 Pulse is excellent, if these are as good (which they should be) then they'll be cracking

I really can't be sympathetic to someone whose angle is selling speculation on half baked rumours.
And therein is the rub: who said they were half-baked rumours? He wasn't the only person with that info.

All of his info on Zen 2 and Navi looked pretty accurate for the time. Bear in mind AMD would have expected Zen 2 to go against Intel 10nm and a monstrous Nvidia Turning when their plans were laid out, and the spec leaks do tally up with what we know of AMD in pushing their kit to the limit at stupidly low prices just to remain competitive. But then at the time of launch in actuality Intel were hilariously nowhere and Nvidia dialled back, so there was no need for AMD to push as hard as the leaks implied. Such is the nature of the business. So on the one hand it's pretty daft to totally rip on Adored for "lying" when his information was held as gospel for almost a year, but it is quite another thing for Jim to then start screaming he was played when a simple "well, things change, this was my information and today it's clear AMD didn't need to push as hard" would have sufficed.

So yeah, no sympathy for how he's handled things.

Your maths is off.

The Sapphire Pulse is +£35 in both cases over the reference Sapphire cards or +$42.25 in a direct dollar conversion. (using OCUK shop)

How so? The cheapest 5700 XT is £379.99, with the Sapphire reference actually being more expensive interestingly enough.

£424.99 - £379.99 = £45. 1 GBP = 1.20721 USD.

Maybe you have special prices the rest of us don't have access to?
