I think this is a mainly based off a leaked part that requires 2 8 pin connectors. It isn't necessarily a Navi part.

AdoredTV changed his power draw calls call after this came out and it maybe he's heard something or it maybe he's seen the double 8pin and thought '**** the powerdraw I'm quoting must be well off'

He only bumped 2 up and not by much in GPU terms when he posted his "complete" list:

3070 (Navi 12) went from 120 to 130W
3080 (Navi 10) went from 150 to 175W

Interesting to note that the 2 Navi 10 cards he added to the list have a higher TDP than the original leak:

3070 XT 160W; that's a lower-end part than the original leak and still 10W higher
3080 XT is 190W

On the one hand, this alludes to something's deviated from the original plan and Navi is warmer than intended, on the other hand who's going to complain at Vega 64 performance (3070 XT) at a mere 160W?

Yes but he backs away from these numbers on the second half of this video. Watch the last 2 minutes of this, he's saying his latest numbers are likely off:

I personally think he's hedging his bets after the 2x 8pin card was leaked.

From a company that almost hit bankruptcy, still working off $1B debts, has a R&D budget fractional of Intel and Nvidia yet still develops both CPUs and GPUs, and competitively to boot with what they have available. And brings a 3 year old performance metric to the midrange with grossly inflated prices.

So no, don't complain.

And if a 3 year old performance metric is so bad, explain the RTX 2070?

for some only 2080ti destroyer will do, must be under £200 or AMD are a failure lol if navi has 1080ti performance at £250 then good for them, that brings the MID price gaming cards to AMD as that will make 2nd hand 1080ti cards cheaper and make the 2080ti card even more outrageously priced, along with the 2080. DLS and RTX don't matter to the mid rage gamer.

So is AMD a charity? Who cares about their excuses.

RTX 2070 is more efficient than the 1080, faster but is built on the same 16/12mm more. A die shrink to 7nm would see the 2070 run at about 85W for comparison, half the power of this so called navi 10.

Do people care that much about how power efficient any GFX card is, as long as the heat is controlled by sufficient cooling, If AMD released a GFX card that kicked the 2080ti off the top spot, but it used more power would any one worry about it. I don't think so, the power argument is the heat argument really. nvidia have had hot times too, didn't stop anyone buying them.

I thought polaris was much better than Nvidia's competing products.

It’s certainly seems it’s stayed more relevant for longer.

I just wondering if Navi can beat the value for money their own Polaris series currently offers. A RX 570-590 for £100-200 is actually really good value. Vega 56 and 64 for £250-350 is not too shabby as well. So unless they offer something better than that (or same but with lower power requirements) then Navi may be underwhelming.

The problem is that might be the height of performance AMD are offering.

That's definitely not a problem when so many have 970 / 1060 based cards.

You have the prices wrong, but the point made is sound.

2080Ti destroyer @ £500
1080Ti perf @ £440

note there is a £60 diff in price delta cos that's what it's worth not the nvidia tax of £600
