Lol. Don't blame you, but I look at it another way. I'm still on a 970 and if I haven't upgraded GPU in a decade... a few more months to know whether AMD's new cards are good or not makes no difference. Especially when I'm prepared to not bother buying any GPUs at all. Not like I play any games on my PC these days...

There is a lot of games coming out in Feb and I'm guessing people want a new card for those. Myself I'm upgrading for KCD2 and Monster Hunter Wilds, I don't wanna wait months later to play them.

Except that one. I loved the original Monster Hunter World... though admittedly I barely played Rise and never even touched Sunbreak...
I tried the Wilds beta on my old 970 and saw unrendered polygons... yeah. No way can I even try to play that game without buying a new GPU first.
With these AMD delays... there goes the slim chance of me playing MH Wilds on launch.

I don't think I've ever seen a launch delay when the cards are with the vendors lol

My bet is that some cheeky retailers, ****** off by AMD, could let one or 2 cards slip behind closed doors for silly prices.
At least then any leak we see are likely to be decently accurate.

If distributors and retailers already have stock,is AMD going to pay them for the next 6 to 8 weeks for storage? I can't imagine a lot of companies wan't shelf space filled with stock they cannot sell yet.

I mean if Google can get fined for Google Chrome and be force to sell it, despite there being tons of competitor browsers... how is Nvidia getting away with their GPU monopoly and AMD for price-fixing and enabling Nvidia's monopoly?

That wouldn't work. We no longer get driver cd's in the box and they certainly aren't available on amd.com yet.

Probably because gaming graphics cards are not essential and it would take years to bring a case. It's happened with CRT monitors,DRAM and NAND but these were considered essential to the PC market.

That wouldn't work. We no longer get driver cd's in the box and they certainly aren't available on amd.com yet.

Doubting it as they still need drivers, amd went on record as saying not even the manufacturers had them, only a gimped version.
