If they are popular and that good, I think people who already have an AMD card should get a 20% discount and the turncoats with Nvidia cards pay the 50% more they don't seem to mind paying, seems only fair.

Just buy second hand 6800 XT cards. They are dirt cheap.

4070 Ti - 161fps
6800 XT - 186fps
9070 XT - 212fps
4090 - 221 fps

This all sounds legit.

no but it looks like it will pack a beyond-7900XTX level of punch with FSR4 enabled.

whether you'll be able to tell the difference between a 9070XT, 5070ti and 5080 in a 1440p blind test is going to be interesting.

If the last few days of news if there's any card that's DOA it actually looks like the £1350 5080.

Already coming up with the "blind test" argument when we know in reality the numbers will be behind the 5070 ti.

Also FSR4 isn't faster than FSR3. It's just ML based. It's not gonna provide the card magic to perform better than the 7900 XTX.

now look who's making stuff up  we've seen FSR 4.0, granted we don't know the performance benefits.. but we do have a great idea about the visual improvement over FSR 3.1

The "now look who's making stuff up" is the speculation despite you saying "we know in reality the numbers will be behind the 5070ti", we don't know that.. we can't know that.. the only people who can work at AMD.

I'm replying to someone who said FSR4 will make it outperform the 7900 XTX. You have numbers confiming this given you've come to their defence?

We know it will be 5070 ti at best because AMD have alliuded to as such. Just need to believe AMD on their word. Apart from this all benchmarks we have seen is nonsense. This is a 64 CU card running at 3+ ghz. This perfromance checks out.

You know that chart was made for naming convention purposes only right?

Who from AMD told you that?

If it was naming convention matching to nvidia, then they wouldn't have shown where RDNA3 cards sit or 5000 series shifting up.

It's literally in the title.. Also this whole editing a reply thing is kinda cringe man.. thats the stuff we did back in the early 2000s to be edgy.

Okay, these cards will beat the 7900 XTX with FSR4 and won't be behind the 5070 Ti. The 64 CUs running at 3ghz will show such a massive IPC gain that it will actually be close to the 4090.

All the while AMD decided to call these 70 series cards literally showing where they are branded to sit in the stack against AMD and Nvidia's previous gen (and 5000 series).

This is literally history repeating itself every AMD release.

How many CUs did the 7800xt have? Didn’t show much IPC gain over the 6800xt but on par with last gen flagship 6900xt.

Versus the 6800 XT, it is 60 vs 72 CUs. So a 20% improvement on that and then it was 5% better as well, although it was clocked 5% higher.

So, ignoring the faster memory, I'd say +20% IPC from RDNA2 to RDNA3.

early leaked benchmarks have the 5070ti 7.6% faster than 4070ti, but 20% faster in Blender.

all we have thus far is a monster hunter wilds benchmark from the 9070xt
