*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

when you say 'get a 5080' you mean stare out of an out-of-stock symbol and have to pony up $1350 for a pre-order? :)

How dare you come back at me with logic? can't you see i'm having an emotional outburst here????????

Joking aside $950 is far too much for what its likely to be, that being an improved 7900 XTX.

The 5070 Ti might be £850 minimum given that the 5080 which was supposed to be $1000 and they are actually £1200 minimum. +£100 over MSRP seems almost reasonable give the +£200 for the 5080.

So the 5070 Ti is £50 or £100 more, i think for £750 or £800 the 9070 XT needs to be better than the 5070 Ti, i think its going to be a little better in raster and a little worse in RT and for that its too expensive.

AMD also need to be careful because i think what Nvidia will actually do is make sure there are plenty available at £750, not £850 tho some models of course will be but to pee on AMD's campfire and to make them look like fools they will have serval model with plenty of stock at £750.

AMD need to stop ******* about trying to guess Nvidia and maximise price to the absolute limit of what they think they can charge against Nvidia, just set a price that's attractive.

These are just rumours but again this is starting to look like the 7900 XT all over again...

They have a fiduciary legal responsibility to maximise profits for their shareholders

I'm gonna have to steal my girlfriends 6750xt to tide me over until someone pulls their finger out and delivers

maximising profits while loosing market share year after year is not really good market strategy for long term profits maximisation. If this comes over £699 I can see many buying 5070Ti or 5080 as Nvidia sells features really well. Ray tracing, fake frames and AMD loose one of their selling features which was more VRAM, we already know their card is going to be slower at raytracing although they have made big improvements, they have to be more competitive on price, good thing is AMD prices drop quite quick after launch.

I know share holders are very simple creatures with 2 dimensional thinking that higher price = higher profits but its AMD's job to convince them they are being stupid. $100 can be the difference between not selling anything and selling everything.

AMD say they're delaying because of software, but it seems to me that it's just so they can find out the price/performance of the 5070/5070Ti and they can't even be honest about it.
Frank Azor explicitly said that they were "in a position to wait and see what the competition does" at CES. It's no secret.

He's hardly going to announce the MSRP in a tweet.

Take a big gulp if you look for a 5080 in-stock listing in the UK. They are 1350 GBP inc or approx $1,700 USD.

It wont be long till retailers have their chance to stop scalping. Was surprised so many fomo'd in tbh, at least all the radeon cards (7900's) got bought up!

Consumers also have a fiduciary moral responsibility to maximise profits for their own shareholders,ie,themselves.
If that were true only Lidl would be the only supermarket and nobody would pay £4 for half a pint of hot milk with a splash of coffee in it...

Given that £100 seems to be the going rate for the latest annual phoned-in DLC update for CoD, I don't really believe £650 means no sales but £599 means RDNA4 will fly off the shelves...

In 2020 the RX 6700 XT cost £480.

Inflation is real, but not this real.

Interesting. That means the £530 I paid for my 3070 now would be £660. I won't pay that for a 9070XT, no chance.
