*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

It’s amazing how in this rumour thread we have gone from £450 to £499 to £549 to £599 to £649 to £699 and now £749 for the price of the 9070XT lol. :D:cry:
The worse the 5000 series gets the more people are expecting to have to pay :( hopefully not though. Seem to be more close to msrp cards than I expected today. So maybe amd will stop playing chicken and set the price well under 750, still think 600 is the most likely, but I do expect most cards to end up being above that when they hit shelves

People have totally lost their minds when these are supposed to be 7800XT/7900GRE tier cards, no matter how good or bad they perform
Which sell for £430.00 - £600.00.

However, I think AMD in their hubris and bad planning, AMD will expect £700 - 900, for the 4080 Super equivalents. The RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. The same silly and absurd prices (correction RTX 5070 Ti £799.99 minimum at present here) the RTX 5070 Ti is being sold for today.

It is a sad state of affairs that people are chasing graphics cards that do not massively exceed the performance of two year old products. The RTX 4080 Super and the RX 7900 XTX cards. According to leaks.

We have reached technological standstill.

Well if I cant get a 9070XT for under £550 or a 9070 for under £450 I'll probably stay a gen behind, problem is the previous gen prices aint going down much like they used to.. it really is a sad state.

We can only hope AMD can score a Beckham style goal from the halfway line, I just hope they dont shoot the wrong way :p

The 9070 series cards are going to have a significantly smaller die than Navi 31 and will use similar memory technology. The cheapest Navi 31 card, the 7900 GRE, retails for £550.

I'm hopeful that pricing is going to take into account efficiency of how much it costs to make the cards and their relative performance in relation to Navi 31 and 32 cards rather than only pricing in relation to competing Nvidia cards.

Surely they're not gonna price it way under the 7900 xtx considering how well that's selling recently, some of the prices I see people hoping these cards will be seem mental to me

Here's a radical idea and you'll probably think I've lost my marbles, how about we workout what the BOM is and simply add 30%. :p

Almost out of stock, only available XTX on OcUK is now £920, up from £900 a couple of days ago.

Two models on preorder but those are over £900.

It is going to hilarious when it comes in at £700 or more and the guys who said it needs to be much cheaper a few months ago will say it is a good price, because nvidia pricing and AMD are not a charity yada yada :D
Yeah, I am somewhat torn. if you can get a good AIB 5070ti for £799 its going to be a close run thing for me. Will see what the nitro 9700XT comes in at.
