*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

I’m calling it £499 9070XT and I would chop my 7800XT in.

If it’s £499 9070 non xt then wouldn’t as I’ve bridged another 10% via UV on my 7800xt so there would only be 20% uplift.

Really like the look of my reference 7800xt so there’s that for keeping it as no MBAs this gen.

I really can't see these being that cheap, but hopefully AMD surprises us, they would really take back some market share at that price.
Realistically looking at it, though - they only need to be in stock these days. Price irrelevant, there's just no Nvidia cards in stock so people who must buy some GPU will simply have no choice. Considering that Nvidia still produces mostly ai GPUs and barely any gaming ones, it seems, AMD could still win by just being available when if in same MSRP as Nvidia. I hope that won't be the case but I'm quite sure this is exactly what they are discussing behind the door before the announcement day.

Or in other words, soon we'll see if they are still thinking in short term or long term way.

Price is certainly not irrelevant with AMD and by the time these are released, I'd imagine 5080/5070ti inventory levels will be much improved with pricing closer to MSRP.

I still think 500 for the non xt and 600 for the xt is the likely price. As I see it that's the highest it can be while still being disruptively priced. 650-700 for the xt and it will still be a half decent deal depending on what games you play, but isn't going to turn any heads, everyone who usually buys nvidia will still buy nvidia. Above 700 and even I'd just buy nvidia (or i guess more likely just not upgrade)

I do think that what AMD will be trying to do is price it as high as they think they can get away with. Roll on Friday, I'm sick of guessing now and just want the answers.

£900 For 9070XT? Not interested, and I'd go back to playing tiddly winks

Id lol if they bundled it with cyberpunk and says, with our new uber powered rt on these new cards, experience cyberpunk like no other. And shows a bunch of slides to prove it (shows it beating a 5070ti in rt full path tracing) which ultimately gets destroyed with others results. :D

God id love that to happen just to see the reaction videos and stuff.

Wouldn't be the first time Nvidia have just flooded the market out of the blue. I certainly don't hope AMD play into this. Nvidia is certainly a capable company no matter how any of us feel about their business practices.

What even suggest such a thing? MSRP is Nvidia's fake invention, only FE cards can ever achieve it apparently (as they can get proper margins) and in the past 2 generations there's been very little of these available for a long time. AIB insiders have been saying for years now that Nvidia charges them so much (more each generation) for the parts they won't have any margins unless they add 20%+ to the MSRP - which is exactly what we've seen happened. This isn't going to change with availability or AIB might as well not produce and sell any graphics cards, as there's no money in it for MSRP - or so it's been claimed.

That said, I clarified in my post it will reveal if AMD still thinks in short term or switched to long term thinking finally.

We've already seen 5080 stock improve on AIB models and they don't sell out immediately. The only direction for them is down in terms of price and up in terms of availability.

My point was that AMD needs to gain some significant market share. They're not going to do that by pricing these close to a 5080 or 5070ti. Yes, they'll get some short-term sales due to availability, but they need to play the long game.

You also have to consider what availability will be like on these if they're priced well, we could see a situation where they're not easy to get hold of at MSRP for a few months.
