It's limited for whatever reason, the most likely being they simply put all production capacity (not just TSMC but packaging, PCB production, shipping etc.) for super profitable AI products. Gamers got scraps because they are at best 7% of Nvidia revenue (as per their latest financial report).

I don't understand why they ruin the price/performance of their own products (9070 to 9070XT)

The same way they did with the 7900XT and 7900XTX

Whereas you used to get much better price/performance from the cheaper card

Gonna guess the yields on the full chip are good enough they'd rather you go for the 9070XT.
